Help my girl characters are suddenly men

They gender and their body. I've been playing on the new 1.9 update for the longest, no problem. But now... When i open the Race Menu, their faces get borked up so badly. I don't know if it's ECE or not, but I do keep getting an ECE error. Should I try and reinstall ECE?

When you started that character and created it did the char gen window start out as a male nord or as some female?

 

The reason I ask is that what you have is the result of having a mod that modifies the player actor to be female instead of male and then when that mod is removed any character started when that mod was active will suddenly have a male body with a female head.

 

You may be able to use the console command which allows you to change gender to correct the body shape...

Try sexchange or player.sexchange in the console and see what happens.

This just happened to my player. This is an old thread, but it is still happening.

 

SSEEdit says she is a female. So does Creation Kit. Creation Kit shows a female body too. Racemenu seems to be the problem. It seems every old save I load, my player turns into a man. I even went to the beginning save I had right after I created my player and she was a man there too! I used showracemenu on the console and changed her back to a woman. I created a save and I can load that and she is still a she. But you have to go through the whole creation process again. If I load a newer save, even though I just changed back to a woman, it will turn me to a man again. I have never seen this before.

 

I have been changing files trying to eliminate some CTDs I am having. When I am done changing files, if I start over will I still have this problem?
