Load Multiple Master Files not working anymore.

I had looked up how to load multiple master files because of all the issues caused by the CK. And I had it working, but it no longer is.

 

I'm trying to edit some custom made followers I made but no, am unable to due to "Multiple Master Files Detected. Load Aborted"

 

I have it setup like this

 

[General]

bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1
bAllowMultipleMasterFiles=1

 

It no longer seems to work, as I still get this error message every time I open the CK.

Do you also have this? (under archives)

I just looked through the whole SkyrimEditorPref.ini and there is no 'archive' tab in it, i even used CTRL + F. We might be talking about different things. I'm referring to the ability to load multiple master files for the Creation Kit. allowing you to edit or create things with other mods, rather than just vanilla choices.

Yes, exactly. In order to do this you need several lines of text.

In mine the archive section is between the movement and sound sections.

Although I was assuming you meant load multiple DLC content, hence the instructions for the specific DLCs. Nevertheless, if you are missing sections of your Creation kit ini file, you might try verifying the creation lit cache files on steam (same process as the game, just right click on creation kit instead)

 

If you want in general to use esps as masters, IsharaMeradin has a nice tutorial on that.

Verify for your Creation Kit. Then edit your SkyrimEditor.ini. Add this line at the bottom of the [General] section bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 You don't need the other line you had listed. After that if you have any DLCs scroll down inside the SkyrimEditor.ini till you locate the [Archive] section then add your DLC bsa files to the SResourceArchiveList2 as Gerorgiegril stated earlier.

 

That should allow you to open any # of master files to work with.

<div>Let me throw this out there, I had it working before. I had my own custom characters as followers. I didn't touch the CK for a LONG TIME after that, and when I opened the CK before posting this, it no longer worked.</div>

Did you verify the Creation Kit with Steam? Depending upon the length of time that it has been since you used it, it could be out of date. If the game and the Creation Kit are not fully up to date, you will have problems. Could also be that UAC is interferring with the operations since according to some of the entries in the INI file you have it installed inside the Program Files directory. UAC protects the Program Files directory from being tampered with. It is known to cause issues with modding all sorts of games.
