How do you edit an ini file without making it into a text file?

I am having problems installing body slides. You need to change an ini file, but they only way I know of doing that is to turn it into a text file and that changes all the ini system files into text files also.

Do you mean BodySlide files? And opening an ini file with notepad doesn't change all the other files unless you leave the option ticked to let your operating system do so.

 

Use Notepad++ to open ini files. That every other system file can also be opened with a text editor doesn't matter since the content of the files doesn't change.
