Trashhead
So I've been playing games for years now and I've yet to find a game that satisfies my wants. I'm looking to you players to help guild me to games maybe I've not heard of yet.The type of game I want is a game where you basically start out with nothing, found a city, build and upgrade that city and then wage war from that city. For example. Never-winter nights 2 Had a place where you built up a fortress by going out and finding material and bringing it back. The people build what you said, patrolled where you wanted them and so on. That was the closest I found. In Gothic 3, you stumble across an old cursed fort that is ran by undead. You go in, slay it all then can turn around and pay someone gold to upgrade it to start being used as a base. But that's as far as it goes.Any suggestions would be loved and greatly appreciated. I have also discovered another "god" game others might be interested in.http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/22cans/project-godus is the link to it. Check it out. Trashhead
Yeah. Was thinking more of a adventure game. Like gothic or Neverwinter.
billyro
Apparently in Two Worlds 2 you can build your own city, and still control your own character. I haven't played it though, so you might want to double check. ;)
Vindekarr
The Two Worlds games have other issues. At launch the original was ridiculed as one of the worst games of all time due to probably the most severe stutter ever encountered in a modern game, horrific reliability issues, poor customisation and dull gameplay. The second version was a very average RPG with little improvement; although it ran better and there were initial attempts to mod it, the game largely fell flat, with consumers pushed away by how average it felt with Skyrim on the horizon, and perceptions of sexism. What you my friend, are looking for is MINECRAFT. You start with nothing, wander around a bit, build a house, then a town, then a castle, THEN AN EMPIRE! Minecraft is basically Lego; only limited by your imagination, and it's dirt cheap too. Assassin's Creed 3; some limited town building stratergy, excellent combat, good all round game. Civ 5: well, doesn't need much introduction. Superb world-builder. Medieval/Rome/Shogun Total War aswell.
Trashhead
Yeah. I own minecraft. Its kinda what I want honestly just no story. Its a pure survival game and also no server to play. Least no server that doesn't require me to spend real $$ every month to get access to everything. Civ 5 is a nice game, don't get me wrong but its purely real time strategy kinda game when I'm looking for more of an adventure minecraft type. Lol. Zewp
Civ 5 is not real time strategy. It's turn-based.

Dweedle
Civ 5 is not real time strategy. It's turn-based. exactly but if OP does not know the difference then meh anyway, there are settlement building mods in the fallout games, about as close as I can think of that OP wants, what he is after is very niche.
