AtotehZ
Hey guys, I am a bit tired of Lydia walking around in armor. Which mods are good for changing the clothing of your love interest?I don't have a problem with 18+ content, I am not squeamish. I've looked around and never found any concrete answers. The closest I got was a 100 page long debate. What I got from that is that UNP is the least "japanese anime"-like mod. What I also got from it is that you don't just got one mod, you go for a number of mods. Which do I need?
StewHood
May I recommend a few I use: Ashara Dimonized Dress set - Nice and tasteful mix and match clothing sets. Osare Gothic Lolita - Three sets to choose from that are nice in a weird sort of way IMO. Inner Wear Set - Getting into the adult stuff here - not very drastic but tastefully done. Dimon99's Clothing resources - More mix and match options, Adult stuff. UNP Simply Clothes by Petrovich - Modern clothes in an TES setting. Maxwell Outfit - Clothes as armour option - I'm using this retexture. And if you don't mind looking at a bit of skin (and lets face it - who doesn't) - I recently found Bikini Trouble by MrTroubleMaker - plenty of texture and colour options, smithy friendly too if you want to upgrade them I'm not saying these are the "Best" out there, these are just the ones I have loaded and use from time to time between slaying "Beasties" - it's all a matter of personal taste I think, but these could be a few to get you started. Anything is better than that horrid Steel Armour Lydia prances around in. Good luck and cheers!
ArtMurder
Use Amazing Follower Tweaks to set different outfits for her once you pick an outfit(s) you like!
AtotehZ
Thank you for your answers :) One thing though. Do these addons require that you use Apachii Hair to look good? I am really not a fan of that one. Is there an addon that makes the vanilla faces match the CBBE or UNP bodies? As it is now there is clear difference in color of the face and body. StewHood
No the clothes sets do not require any hair mods etc, they are two completely different things. Yeah you can go bezerk loading different hair mods to make your toon look nice - but they are not essential. Although If I understand what your issue is correctly - that being a neck seam between the UNP body and faces - I do not have a simple answer to that - there are far more many wiser old Nexus hands here who could answer that far better than me - besides I have the same issue from time to time. This week was a prime example, having had what I thought was a pretty good set up with very little neck seam on my ever expanding list of saved toons, I updated the UNP Replacer Configuration Package (awesome mod that combines plenty of head/body features - worth a look if you like a tick and click build, saves a great deal of time!) and changed a few settings to see what different things would look like - creating some fairly noticeable neck seams in the process. I still haven't sorted it all out but there are tools that help with that - if only I had the knowledge to use them properly, hopefully someone will be able to give you a straight answer on that stuff as I have zero skill using such things. Cheers!

myztikrice
NPC Editor is buggy and unreliable and not recommened you use, and has little to do with neck seams. Download http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30759 and follow the instructions. Seams are caused by discoloration with the face femalehead.dds and their normal maps femalehead_msn.dds. AtotehZ
It would seem that i need a face mod for this one to work. I don't have the necessary files. In the installation it says I need a number of folders. I tried anyway and unticked the ones I didn't have. Now the faces are 100% white. AtotehZ
Actually faces aren't completely white. It just looks like the textures haven't loaded. The same way it looks when something is transparent in a picture in an image editor, light grey and white checkered.
IsharaMeradin
For armor and clothing, I'd recommoned... UNP Clothing Merchants It combines several UNP armor/clothing mods into one with a singular crafting/purchase location so as to not clutter up the stock crafting stations. For UNP matching face mod, I'd recommend... All In One Face Once installed correctly there should be no noticeable seam when not wearing armor/clothing. When wearing armor/clothing there could be a slight bit of seam if you know where to look. The cause is due to how the armor/clothing was created and not with any actual textures. Of course this statement is in regards to the standard UNP texture. Other variations of texture for the UNP body can yield different results.
