dark souls 2 gameplay video

My only issue with the dark souls series is honestly that From keeps patching it. The best thing About demons souls is that it wasn't patched. This ment all the duping glitches stayed and it was much easier to build new toons and have fun. The few ways to do this in dark souls have all been patched. Which makes making a new toon a grind (the same grind every time) and stops me from enjoying the game. Of course I said this on an EpicNameBro video and got met with extremely harsh criticism. Funny hid horrible the Souls community has gotten. The original demons souls community embraced the duping and many embrace it for dark souls. But the new community the ones who started with dark souls think they are gaming's elite and look at duping as noob and a disgrace to their wonderful game. I've stated my dislike with the Dark Souls fanboiz before and this latest adventure only burns my hatred for them more lol

Actually on that note a few questions:

1) does the pc version have a way to dupe? If so I would buy it. It's just that I've already platinumed the ps3 version, beat it several times and done just about all there is to do. At this point all I wanna do is make toons have fun and role play. It's what I did with demons souls its what I do with dragon age origins and fallout. I get a good setup and have fun from the start. But in dark souls I have to grind for levels and beat half the game to get weapons and by the end I may have the character I envisioned. But what I want is to have those weapons from the get go And have the levels and stats to use them from the start. Then I can worry less about dieing and timing and just have fun killing things. If the pc version has ways to do this then I wanna get if

2) if that's possible then how would I go about to hooking my Ps3 controller to my Pc? Or would I need a new specific type of controller? I don't want an Xbox type of controller cause I don't like them. I've used a ps3 controller all of my console life and that controller is the one I like.

Hope u all have some insight on this thanks!! :)

1. I'm just pointing out that it's not just new Dark Souls hanger-ons who hate duplicating items. I disliked that particular bug as far back as the launch of Demon's Souls. I don't know if it was ever patched in the PC version, but I do know that we got a late patch for something. I didn't read the patch notes though.

2. My brother uses a PS3 controller for the PC version of Dark Souls using Motioninjoy. I just use a 360 controller, but it evidently works quite well for him. There are also icon texture mods available here on the Nexus to replace the 360 key prompts with PS3 equivalents, for people who use PS3 controllers.

I'm not sure if I'm getting a PS4, so I hope they either release it on PS3, or give us a quality port for PC. From should just hire a respectable company to port the game to PC if they aren't up for it. I think the PC community has proven they would support them. I'm sure Valve could help them port the game, and sell it.

Hoof: I also hated how they keep patching Dark Souls, and wished they would have just left the duping glitches in the game. For the PC version, I don't care if they patch it or not because I got ways to get my stuff without grinding excessively and repeatedly for it.

well i read for PC you can just use the Editor to get whatever you need. not sure how that works but yea. next time i catch Dark Souls on Sale i might grab it......i dont know how anyone can be against duping. imho, Duping is the ONLY reason Demons Souls stayed so popular for so long and is the ONLY reason Dark Souls even came about. if it werent for Duping, the game woulda died out long ago. and there never would have been a dedicated PvP scene and then they never would have extended the Servers (at least not as much as they did) and then they never would have made a Dark Souls.

People think that as soon as there is duping then there will be greifers and cheaters and blah. yea that may be, there will be people who greif anyways. when i was reading on this there were tons of people who were like "i played through the entire game at SL1 and got all my equipment at Max just so I could Low Level PvP (Greif) and now people can do it in an hour" like congrats you beat the game at SL1, but youre still a douche. Most people want duping so that you can build a new SL 120+ toon as fast as possible and just have fun, without having to grind and beat half the game. and in my case its not even that, I just like to role play different toons and have fun, i dont even PvP. Dark Souls needs duping even worse then Demons Souls. at least in Demons Souls you could beat the areas that you needed to to get the weapons/equipment/spells you wanted. whereas in Dark Souls youre forced to beat certain areas first. If your stuff doesnt come until at least Annor Londo or later, then youre Forced to beat half that game first and that to me is what makes it even worse. Ive been itching to get back to Dark Souls ever since I started talking about toon creation again, but the more i talk about Dark Souls, the more i remember how much I hated about it! grrr.

That makes no sense at all. FromSoft doesn't care whether or not PVP exists; they make sequels based on sales revenue, and free PVP isn't giving them any money. In fact, maintaining the servers costs them, though I imagine it wouldn't be enough to be very important to their overall profitability.

I can't speak for why the PVP has hung around for this long, but neither can you. I'd like to see a poll which shows how many Dark and Demon's Souls players only stayed for the cheats. Most fans don't have the passive-aggressive attitude towards the series that you seem to, and I know for a fact that I never had to grind. (Assuming you mean grind as in farming for souls and items to level up.)

of course it makes sence. if the duping wasnt there, i guarentee people wouldnt not have stayed around with the PvP....Demons Souls stayed around because of the PvP. because of it, people were still talking about it, people were still buying it, people were still paying for it. new players were talked into trying it.

and yes, people have said to me "if youre spending more then an hour or two grinding to get to 120 youre doing it wrong and blah" but i do not want to spend an hour or two. i want to spend twenty minutes. i do not want to have to go through half the game to get weapons, i want them as early as possible, so i can role play a finished character.
