Oblivion Modding 2021

Hello all, so i just picked up oblivion and proceded to mod it but alot of things are unsupported these days.

I used OBMM+LOOT+Wyrebash and even vortex for some mods.

I am an experienced modder with having over 200 mods for skyrim working fine as well as endereal and other games.

Oblivion crashes constantly near imperial city and cannot play. I only installed 35 mods , resolved the conflicts i could but to no avail.

I was just wondering if anyone had a nice mod list for 2021 and recommend what tool i should use for installing the mods.

Well, I wrote an entire article about converting and repacking mods for Oblivion, to use in Vortex, and I have a GOG install of Oblivion using Vortex, and a Steam install of Oblivion using Wryebash and so far it's been much less mentally exhausting to just use Wryebash (With an occasional smattering of OBMM when required)

 

I have just finished installing my load order in WryeBash, and am ready to fire up the game and play it, however with a few less mods, that I think are the cause of my Random and Sudden CTD problems in GOG/Vortex installed game.

It will just unceremoniously drop me to t he desktop randomly as if I had quit the game.

 

I have yet to start playing the Steam Wryebash install, to see if I have a more stable base

 

Note, I haven't used the 4 gb patch on the exe, I don't have oblivion Stutter removed installed or NVAC, I haven't generated an LOD, haven't loaded Ultimate Landscapes or HESU mainly because I'm experimenting whether any of these cause the sudden and random CTDS.
