New Menu Re-placer!

Hey there Nexites!

 

I'm gonna be doing a little advertising for my first mod, Scenic Skyrim Menu Re-placer with Randomizer! I'm not 100% sure if advertising for your own mod is against forum rules but I do feel like I'm putting it in the right section and in any case it is I would not hesitate to take this thread down at an admins request.

 

Now with all of that out of the way, let me tell you a little bit about myself!

I'm a 22 year old living in Houston Texas. I'm currently enrolled in college, so modding and its communities have become a sort of outlet from all the stress in a college lifestyle. I am also a photographer at heart, I like to go out every once in awhile and just take in the world and capture it in a photo that I can always look back to.

 

Now at this point your probably wondering, what the hell does this have to do with modding?! And I bet you'd be surprised to know it has alot to do with it! You see every time you take a screen shoot in Skyrim, you yourself are in that moment a photographer, capturing a moment and sharing it with others. I pride myself on being a sort of game photographer, taking a game to its absolute max (with the help of mods) and portraying it as if it were a real life photo.

 

With this in mind I decided to join the ranks of the Nexus modding community by sharing these photos with you, the mod users! My very first mod takes 26 hand picked photos that fit into the theme of Skyrims natural scenic beauty and making them your main menu! This mod also comes with a randomizer (thanks Hellstorm102 for allowing me to use this .dll) which changes the background every time you start up Skyrim! Here are just a few of the photos that can be found in my mod.

While to some, this is a simple mod that may be worth just overlooking. I hope that posting this will help you consider otherwise! I really enjoy making these types of projects and being able to share them with you all is what makes it worth doing. So if you decide to use my mod I hope you enjoy it!

I don't see why a little self-promotion would be against the rules, but I'm a college kid too, so maybe we just think alike :P
Having said that, I like the mod. You done good lol

In the spirit of sharing screencaps aka digital photography, I'm using my deviantart gallery for that express purpose haha

Wow those are some great shots! I particularly like the winterhold ruin one. And thanks! I'm hoping that this thread will generate a little more interest than its already gotten, which is almost none, but then again maybe that's me being a little impatient, its only been uploaded for a few days lol.
