Michael3531
I apologize upfront as I am not very good with computers. I downloaded the Rosewood Estate Mod as it looks very good. All the files are extracted and sitting on my desktop. Where do I need to put them to get it actually incorporated into the game? I play through Steam. Any help is greatly appreciated. anjenthedog
Install a mod manager. I recommend Vortex. Then use that to install the archive file, not the de-archived elements.
gnarly1
As anjenthedog posted, use a mod manager. Here's how to get started with Vortex:
anjenthedog
PS> Make sure to read the description tab for the mod thoroughly, and make sure (once you have a mod manager installed) install any requirements specified by the mod (requirements will be shown in the requirement tab) If you downloaded this mod from somewhere else (or even if not) make damn sure it's not a mod for the LE version of the game. You are running SE, you need SE mods. with almost 100% certainty, installing a Skyrim LE (also known as "oldrim") mod in Skyrim SE will break your game. And with almost as much certainty, this will be a bummer for you. (as it was when I did it, and from an educated guess, when others did it too). Learn from my mistakes. - and no, leet kiddies, i'm not going to spell out those freakishly rare ones that work in both. so with all due respect, stfu. don't make life more difficult for a newb. It took me nearly a year to undo the damage your blather caused me when I was a newb. Finally I want to stress this one more time. If your intention is to play the game, DO NOT ATTEMPT A MANUAL INSTALL. Use a mod manager.
