Kroekr
Is there a global variable or command (other that TGM) that would increase the effectiveness of all armor types (by a factor of 100 or so) and all spell effects (including enchantments)? While I am not a fan of dying, I would like to take some damage so I could raise my restoration skill.
IsharaMeradin
For affecting armor and spell effects? No idea. You could, however, increase your health so that you can take more damage before dying. That said, there are some fires that cause damage when standing in them. You could find one of those, stand in it and cast the basic healing spell. Just be sure to step out when you run out of magicka. Or find something that doesn't do too much damage and just heal while getting beat up on. Also, get into some brawls and let them beat you up. Once you win, use the healing spell to heal yourself. In fact, never let health regenerate on its own after battle. Unless you are out of magicka always top off your health with a bit of self healing. You'd be surprised by how much that helps to level the skill. Kroekr
I set off the swinging door trap in Bleakfall Barrow on purpose (after a save) to see what would happen. Knocked my health to 0 without registering any damage but put me on my knees. Once I took a potion I was able to heal. My problem appears to have been caused by a mislabeled and potentially goobered up mod which I replaced and started over. Not sure how the author did what they did though. Thanks for replying.
