Mystais
Does it bother anyone that essential npc/companions will drop in combat and get up shortly thereafter to rejoin the fight? Kinda takes the challenge out of it. Would it be possible to make it so when one such npc or companion goes down in combat they stay down/unconscious until they can be aided by the player? I figure maybe require the use of a stimpack to raise them and maybe even more restrictions/requirements (ex. no nearby enemies, etc). Would it be difficult? GodofAlcohol
How about letting NPCs die as normal, but adding the ability to revive/reanimate them?Could be achieved by a perk or similiar.
Mystais
Well that would achieve the same thing. Is either method possible?
linehand
I imagine it would be pretty easy to just make all essentials stay unconscious for a longer time. Like maybe 5 minutes. In-game 5 minutes can seem like a very long time though so maybe just 2 or 3 minutes? It has always bothered me that essential characters get up so fast.. Even in Oblivion it bothered me. Unconscious and sleeping NPCs should be unaware of the player too.. Unless he/she makes so much noise they wake up..
Mystais
Yes 2-3 min would be fine and/or maybe until no nearby enemies then they wake up... or as originally, down until the player uses a stimpack on them or something. I do think we need the npcs to be essential as it would make no sense to revive a companion with a missing head...heh.
