monesq
As the title suggests, I am having a workshop menu issue. It's not that I am missing the main categories, or categories added by new mods, those show up thanks to SMM. What I am missing are individual items that should be contained in the sub-menu tabs such as the scavenging station, the weightlifting station and the pommel horse as examples. (I am missing the entire menu for Farming Resources, which is a bummer as I like that mod). I can pull up these items with console commands so I know those assets are in there, but they simply do not show up. Some items will show up in their proper categories and others do not show up at all. I have verified the integrity of the main Fallout files which did not help. I have systematically disabled and enabled mods to see which one may be impacting the menu, no luck. I have around 400 mods/light plugins installed and it is taking forever as I suspect it may be a combination of more than one mod impacting the menu. My questions (which hopefully someone can answer, please) 1. Is there a limit to how many items can show up in the Workshop Menu and/or sub-menus? A long time ago I had installed a turret mod that when installed, eliminated some of my vanilla defense items (turret stands) when I deleted it, the stands came back). 2. Is there a more efficient way to figure out which mod may be doing this? As I stated, I believe more than one mod is the culprit which makes figuring the correct combination of files a nightmare. I tried uninstalling 1/2 of any mods that add things to my Settlement Menu and then 1/2 of those and so on and no changes (did this on a new test save). ANY ideas would be amazing. This is not game breaking mind you as I can most console of the items in, but it is damn irritating. Take care!
romalight
Hello. Try not to use too many build mods, because 1 maybe the SKE menu is stop showing 2 some build mods even are in use with a mod manager, but can't show at the structures or other menu, while some mods ..win.. this battle 3 if a mod said it uses the settlement menu manager, that many times don't say that you find the mod, maybe at structures and wood, at this part of structures. Vstylish decorations add the mod automatic at decorations. if you don't find something about build mods at a place use to be, build mods usually use, try to find the parts somewhere else at structures menu. Some furniture mods also many times, use the vanilla menu to add the new furniture. 4 Some mods said, i use the settlement menu manager mod and what they done is to broke the vanilla menu and delete all the stable mods, using the SMM. i find one of those but i am not going to say what mod cause that a problem and no, even if i put this problematic menu at end of load order, don't solve the problem. 5 Try to find the new versions of mods for build things also somewhere else, far away from Nexus mods, because some update mods 1 are only at Bethesda site or 2 if you find a build or decorations mod, here at Nexus, some times the author stop update it here or decide to make it, not acceptable for download. The only limit i find about mods, are the settlement mods i can use. After i have 78 or 79 settlements (vanilla and mods) every new settlement delete some other mod settlement from Pip-boy, so try not to install many of those mods. if you use many build or decorations mods, the time for workshop to open is going to be close to 1 minute or more. i use many mods about those things and i knew. But it worth it. That's all. Thanks. Edited March 13, 2021 by romalight
monesq
Thank you for your response. I was finally able to correct one menu item by reordering, which is a pain because everyone (almost) wants their mod on the bottom of the load order, so I had to switch a few of those late loaders until I found a good load order. As for items missing from categories/sub menu, I am not sure I understood what you meant that some things disappear. I do have the sub-tab under the tab (for scrap under food and then under misc you can find the scrapping table) but the scrapping table is nowhere to be found. In any event while I do have around 50-60 settlement related mods including clutter, I have seen others with more than that without the issue. Thank you for your input however. Take care.
