I'm using the new Windows 10 version of Skyrim Special Edition which came out yesterday. its the one available on the PC Xbox Game Pass. Every time I start Nexus Mod Manager it says " Missing INI file". I have found the .ini file and even put ".ini" at the end of it. Still no luck. I have also noticed whenever I try to launch the game through NMM it says "Access Denied". FYI I have started the game so there is an .ini file for Skyrim. Someone please help.

I believe you are going to have to inquire at Microsoft or Microsoft Store or Game Pass.

As far as I know there is yet to be a forum for that version of SSE. Also I do not believe mods created for original SSE work for that version, although I could be wrong. I am fairly certain none of the existing mod managers will work with that version of SSE, it is an entirely different game for the purpose of mods and mod managers I believe.

Your best bet is to google your questions and see what links you come up with.

See the post Connecting Vortex to Skyrim SE Game Pass on this forum which may answer some of your questions.

I have been poking at my Game Pass version and compared it to my Steam version and THE BIG THING is that the actual game files are stored in a directory structure that can only be seen by the Game Pass application. They are using a virtual file system to allow you to add mods. - The files that most mod management program uses to find Skyrim - it is in the 'hidden files' . I need to read up the rules Microsoft has for the mods.
