i dont get what im doing wrong with skyrim mods

i never had a gaming computer and never used mods in my life. because I never had a gaming computer to do so until now. so im new to steam and nexus mod manger. but anyways I download nexus mod manger. and then I download three mods which is . jango pet saber cat mountable ,werewolf follower's, and scary werewolf sounds .i automatically download all three mods to nexus mod manger .and then after downloaded them In nexus mod mange. I click activate mods start skyrim and ther e not in trhe game . yes ive tried other resources before bothering you guys . I cant tell you how much research and youtube videos ive watch and still don't get it .for jango I did what it said to do wait 5 hours for is bone and dismiss book to appear .ive waited day never got them. ive even fast travel to a different location then fast travel back to dragons reach. in whiterun where its suppose to be and still did get jango or dismiss book or his bone toy. I don't now what I got to do if I have to do or if I have to do anything to get the werewolf follower mod to work. I really just want the werewolf followers and jango mod to work right now then ill be happy. am I not install the the right way or something. this is what I do I have nexus mod manger. I got to skyrim nexus mods website. download the mod I want automatically to nexus mod manger . activate mod it say mod successfully activated. the I start skyrim play skyrim look everywhere in the game for the mods to start working. and they don't even though it says mods successfully activated.

First launch Skyrim from the Steam> Library>Play Skyrim Launcher. When the Menu appears for Skyrim, click the Data File link and verify that your mods appear there and have check marks in the boxes.

 

If all that appears correctly, then go to the mods web pages and check for any special instructions for making them work. Do they require any other Master files in order to work? (Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Update, Etc)

You sound like you're doing the right things.

 

Only thing I can suggest is at the top of NMM is the cogwheels to check the settings, click it, and in the last tab, Skyrim, check that your skyrim directory is linked to the right place- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim

data files is the only thing I cant click on in the skyrim menu :( its not enabled

Try verifying your game cache in Steam.

If data files is greyed out on the menu, go to here:

C:\Users\USER\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim

and open SkyrimPrefs.ini

Scroll down until you get to the [Launcher] section and add this underneath it:

bEnableFileSelection=1

 

Save and close, then you should be able to click on data files.

thanks everyone I got mods working now :) but does anyone now how to get started with the mods tales of lycanthropy the newest version its activate but cant find how to start it ive even look on the web I get nothing

Dont you need dawnguard installed for that?? (just asking i did not check).
