Eiade
I know someone made a post about their graphics card in the technical support forum, but it says that technical support is for help with problems running MORROWIND. So... here you go: I've had my Radeon 9600 Pro for about 10 months now. But now all of the sudden, the fan is messing up. It's going slower than usual and it's quite noisy now. I don't do overclocking. Is there a way to kind of fix this or is it just the fact that it's old and running out of juice?
tyjet3
Ok, I had a similar problem with my motherboard chipset fan... I ended up buying a new motherboard... But anyway, while the fan is spining, stop it very quickly. DO NOT HOLD IT SO LONG THAT IT DOESN"T MOVE. Basically just give it a little touch and that got rid of the noise for me... I would recommend buying a new fan, they aren't expensive.
Dark0ne
Take the fan off the card and remove all the dust and dirt which has got into the heatsink/fan during those 10 months. You should do this once every few months for optimum efficiency.
ZoFreX
Fan's going slower and noiser, eh? Check that it can actually rotate freely (while the computer is off). -- Edit -- Yes, I realise now that this topic is almost older than me. If I could delete my post, I would. Sorry!
