Lucifer117b
Hey there, I tried searching for the answer to my question but I kept getting an error message, so i'll just ask. I've never been able to contract the vampiric diease! How do I do it? I've managed to complete the game twice without ever becoming one of the undead. I've fought vampires of many occasions hoping to contract it, but to no avail. A little help would be appreciated. Is this a glitch?
Cete
Are you immune to the dicease?
Eiade
I don't think you can be immune to vampirism. You could also try messing around with their dead bodies. Taking a peek into their inventory once they're dead is another way to contract the disease.
cmac
I don't think you can be immune to vampirism. You could also try messing around with their dead bodies. Taking a peek into their inventory once they're dead is another way to contract the disease. Vampirism is a common disease, and you can therefore be immune to it with innate immunities or with resistances gained from becoming the Nerevarine. Malchik
There have been topics on this. You can't (easily) become a vampire once you have been cured of Corprus. If you have high disease resistence then buy a spell from the mages guild in Caldera, the woman by the lower door, to increase your weakness to disease. You can also give yourself the disease via the console.
VG_King
If you go into their main lairs, and let them fight you a little, there is a good chance that you will contract vampirism.
Lucifer117b
I've treid fighting vamps to get it, no luck. I've tried with several characters. If someone had the console line for it, at least I could see what this part of the game is like! Thanks for the input people ^_^
Adras
I was exploring the island and I randomly stumbled upon the Aundae Vampire Lair without knowing it. I didnt relize untill I saw their glowing white eyes and I became a little frightened... But I fought my way all the way to the very bottom where there were about 10 of them. That is when I died, but I never once got the disease. Of course thats probably because my attack is stronger then my defense so if I'm hit once, it almost drains me health, but if I hit once, it normally kills anyting up to level 20-ish.a couple hit could annihalate most anyone up to level 40 or 50. But I usually got hit once before that happened. and my main weapon down there in the Vampire Lair was the Ice Blade of the Monarch that I also randomly stumbled upon. I decided to explore the Strongholds, and all I remember is that that one was built to be an arena. I know its in a fighters guild quest. But i dont like them... cactoblasta
It's less about fighting vampires than being beaten up by them. Just don't hit back, make sure your disease resistance is less than 100%, drain magicka from the vampires where appropriate (so they have to attack unarmed/with weapons) and you will eventually be infected. It's more time and luck than anything else.
Malchik
I agree. I save before entering a Vamp lair, usually Dulo tomb. It can take three or four attempts before I get the disease. However Adras don't become a clan Aundae vampire if you have slaughtered the clan. You can't get any quests from them if they're dead!.
