wallernotsowelsh
just a little confirmation for little ol' me A mesh is the thing you make which gives the shape? (like the grey pictures shown to us?) And a texture is the thing that add details? ( like the pictures we see of coloured model (the arrows from a while back come to mind) are textured meshes?) Peregrine
Exactly. The mesh is the physical structure of the item, as defined by points and surfaces in 3d space. The texture is the "paint" added on top of the mesh.

Jasay
hmm yeah, Geonox what program have you used to make your Darhjiin race ?? Or can you tell me were i can get a FREE program to do it ??
Geonox
Well I've made the dahrjiin race with Milkshape and 3d max. Milkshape is a free 30 days trial, 3d max not free. I've used Milkshape to model the mesh and 3d max to animate the head. I've used photoshop to create the textures. ^_^ You can get an free version of 3d max called Gmax, but it doesn't supports the nif export plugin. And I don't know if you can animate it. Slaiv
As Peregrine once said, the only thing GMAX has going for it is that it's free.
