Xiomora
I think my water in skyrim is broken. I had the W.A.T.E.R. mod installed, and i removed it yesterday, because i noticed some problems with the water ripple effect. It was like, kind of lagging/twitching/flickering. And it like i had a huge 20 feet water ring, around me, in the water, with the same flickering. And the water was way too clear, when swimming under. Also kind of transparent when stading on shore looking at the water. And since i removed it, the water has no movement. its all blank and completely still.. And solid green under water. And the water ripple effect and the weird ring is still there. I have no idea what to do. I have tried all day, and yesterday trying to fix it. Please help :(
prod80
maybe this Green Water Fix will help you...http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14007 As for the water being completely stil... and this weird ring... have you tried to fast travel to some other location (interior perhaps) and wait >24 hours in game, or.. see your load order if anything water related is still left... do you use some sort of tool (like NMM) to install/uninstall mods or you've done it manually? What mods are you using? Maybe installing another Water mod fixes things... you can try Pure Waters ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1111/ ) ... damn nice stuff. Xiomora
Well i got rid of the completely green water, but now its back to being way too clear. I havnt tried waiting 24 hours or fast traveling. But i did try starting a new game. Nothing changed. I used NMM to uninstall. I don't have any water stuff in my load order. i am using a lot of different mods. But they should'nt do anything to the water. Exept maybe the ENB i have. But i tried running without it, and the water was the same. I actually already tried with pure waters. Didn't look good either :( http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p514/PSYKOJEANNE/Unavngivet.jpg?t=1367504675http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p514/PSYKOJEANNE/Unavngivetd.jpg As you can see, the water is pretty messed up. When i use Pure Waters, the waterstill is kinda transparent, and still super clear under water, like when there is no water mod. Georgiegril
you might try the steam verify game files thing.
Xiomora
Im just afraid it will mess with my mods, or ini files.
Georgiegril
Well, it could mess with your mods if you aren't updated to the latest patch. You can make a backup of your ini files (good to have in any case), but I think they might be the issue (or missing texture files). Some alternatives may be:Reinstall water, use the lowest resolution options and see if that is enough of an improvement that you can live with it.Try another water mod (I love WATER but I think pure waters is also popular) and see if that is sufficient. You could try checking your ini files for water-related settings, then toggle them one at a time to see of turning something on or off helps. If you go to the other .ini files (the ones in the steam apps/skyrim folder) you could check the default settings agains your current settings and try making some changes that way. If you are missing texture files, the only way I can think of replacing them is either to have steam replace them via the file verification thing, or with an alternate mod that affects the same files. If you are using an ENB or similar mod, it is possible that the problems you are seeing are related to that, too.
prod80
Man, that's weird...I think you use Skyrim HD based on the textures I see in your screenshots? It also contains water textures and so on... I'm pretty puzzled, havent seen this one before... tried google but cannot find someone else having this. Not that sure that it's texture related... the screenshots do not show missing texture, rather messed up animation. Can you try this;exit Skyrimdisable all your mods except the official filesdisable ENBstart skyrim normally (not through SKSE or w/e)start a new game and check the water? ...please do not load your own save game with disabled mods, and please exit Skyrim completely and enabling all your mods before loading your own save again... dont switch chars, you might mess stuff up more. just to see if mod related or something else. Xiomora
I disabled all the mods in my load order, and the water went back to vanilla. But now my load order is all messed up, so i get CTD at launch - *sigh*... Is it possible to make a clean install, no mods; but still keep your characters? i have a level 54, i really dont want to be deleted. Then i could install the mods slowy, and check everything, every 5 mods or so. any ideas? It shouldn't screw with you're saves but it will change the ini.
Korumera
Although BOSS aint allways right I would advice you to use it if you havent already and use that as a starting point. This is just a weird load error bug. I myself am using Pure Water with lots of other texture mods and don't have a problem whatsoever I'm using Mod Organizer and BOSS give it a try!
