mellophonist
Quote...And what I was referring to was 'your opinion', pointing out the problems your suggestion if it were so would cause for people who prefer a broader range of Mods be available on a safe site.....As for the Steam site, no mature content allowed.Having a forum allows me to have this opinion though and you cant say it's invalid just like I can't say yours is wrong. As for the middle point of your comment, your grammar is poor so I couldn't quite grasp what you were trying to get across. As for the last part, of course no mature content is allowed it doesn't mean you can't put up your spider man character, car driving, anime mods there instead of here. Quote So essentially, you support censorship on Nexus? What gives you the right. I happen to like the skimpy armors Is it lore friendly - Probably not But it is MY Skyrim Universe - not yours. I also see no reason Why I should go to 5 or six different sites becausse of an Eletist attitude of some Nexus members. Why the hell does it bother anyone what types of mods is on Nexus? If you don't like it - don't download it - SIMPLE AS THAT! Live and let live dammit! The modders spend months of their own time making these mods and upload it for us to enjoy - stoip being ungratefull asses and leave everyone to their own skyrim universe!Nothing gives me the right to implement these views, that's all they are, views. My opinions on the subject at hand, if you people didn't want the opinions of the lore keepers you should have never started this thread, the lore of the elder scrolls series is something we take very seriously. And as for your tastes of mods, there is a place for everything, I am sure you can find your skimpy armor packs elsewhere.
bcofer
If I can't say anything nice, I don't say anything at all. I mean a mod titled "Schoolgirl Clothes - ANIMEISH NOT LORE FRIENDLY NO IMMERSION" apparently needed comment moderation. I'm actually playing a pretty lore-friendly build, and was shocked to find myself annointed ArchMage. The only spell book I had read was transmute (I think) and even now my highest magic rating is Illusion at 19. Yet I run the magic school, and can live in the top of the tower. But I am too easliy distracted. Early in the game I forgot, and leveled without training, Was searching for a mod to see if I could get those five slots back without going to an hours-ago save game. Ended up watching steam trains fall from the sky onto Whiterun for 15 minutes. Oh look, they bounce. I deleted it, and then went to steam and rated it up. Good mod work is good mod work, lore friendly or not. I just didn't keep it in my game.
MightyZ0G
while there are people who appreciate Lore Friendly mods there will be people making them (even if it means that they have to learn how to do it themselves) and while there are people who want to journey through Skyrim as cartoon Japanese schoolgirls there will be people making those mods. I like my Skyrim Lore Friendly so I just ignore the mods that I don't want in my game. it is that easy.
Caithe
The problem with those non lore friendly mod is that their tag is mostly always set to Lore-friendly 99 and when you try to vote down on that tag it always says "The uploader of this file has already agreed or disagreed with this tag. You cannot vote for or against it anymore" Uploader shouldn't have the right to tag their own file any more than any other user. Someone can tag his ninja turtle mod as Lore-friendly and if anyone was going to complain, they would instantly get banned for being an evil troll. MightyZ0G
tagging your own work incorrectly should not be allowed but wouldn't it be better to pm the mods and admins of the nexus and tell them that something is incorrectly tagged rather than posting something that could be seen as a negative comment? daventry
Once again, a Newcomer Member gets the end of the stick, because he wants to Create a Mod that makes Skyrim Friendly and Safe for him, yet he risks sharing it to the Angry Lore Fanatics whereas they Dont need to download it. :ermm:http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37714//? Modding is for Everyone, thats what the Creation Kit is for, a Free Tool to make Whatever Crazy looking thing you want ;) Edited June 28, 2013 by daventry
AbdullahG
Mods that happen to be lore-unfriendly or lore breaking don't bother me (I don't bother to use them anyway). However, it's understandable why some people have hatred towards such mods. They move away significantly from the game's intended design and perhaps make no sense in the Nirn world. Still, this is no excuse to attack the authors of the mods. The authors also have some part in this. Correct tags should be used so that such mods stay hidden from those who are interested in lore-friendliness. I also looked at the Child Safe Skyrim mod. I honestly think it's ridiculous, but I won't go into detail. However, if it was the author's decision to make his/her game like that, then so be it. EDIT: I also want to note that most people confuse lore-breaking and lore-unfriendly with one another. I can add medieval knight's armor to my game. Is it lore-unfriendly? Yes. Is it lore-breaking? No. It somehow fits into the game without standing out too much. I can also make Skyrim a tropical paradise. Now that would be lore-breaking, since Skyrim is meant to be a harsh, cold environment with winter all year round. Nudedragon
Do you know what flaming is? Flaming is not just disliking a mod and stating as much.

VictoriaG
Lore is what you make it in your game, otherwise why even bother giving folks a Creation Kit?
