An informative article about Female Boob armor...

Lol, I am fairly certain that functionality is not the biggest concern when these armors are designed and or chosen for use by the players.

Keeping that in mind, I find it interesting that someone would write an article about it as if the people making these armors (or the ones putting them on their toons) would see the article and go, "I had no idea. I never would used the CBBE SSH slider to make armors for if i had known that I was actually putting my toons in danger."

Haha, I'm just screwing around. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Good. A valid argument as to why females shouldn't have those stupid looking cups on their armour.

Personally, I think that most games do this simply to highlight breasts. "Hey look! She's wearing armour and we can see where her boobs are!"

Hopefully the trend of giant cups stuck on the front of breastplates will begin to cease. It would be much more proper if the female breastplates are almost identical to the male breastplates, except the front is a little more pronounced. That's all that really needs to happen.

For those who have entirely missed the boat, this is a fantasy game and has little to do with reality. Dragons and spells flying around are perfectly acceptable. But unrealistic armor? If you don't like the 'boob armor' mods, just don't use them. Problem solved.

If you don't like that they exist or that other people actually like to use them in their game, you have a much deeper problem and should probably consult a specialist. :ermm:

Actually a lot of the male armor is unrealistic as well, but for some reason no one whines about long spikes sticking out in all directions or paldrons that are more like wings off each shoulder. Think about going through a 3 foot wide doorway with 4 feet of spikes surrounding you. :pinch:

For those who like arguing this topic - here is a hilarious video on it.

Hahaha, wow. Good point. I wasn't even thinking about how we're complaining about realistic armor in a game where there are dragons, spells, elves, and orcs. Haha

WTG bben. WTG.

Yeah, the game is unrealistic, but there are realism mods out there. There are lots of people who use them. I hope folks weren't taking my post to serious.

PS. I would think that a Mod would remain somewhat neutral on topics...

I have seen this same basic argument over and over - I try to head it off before it gets too heated. For some reason there are people who get hostile that someone else likes a mod they don't.

A while back , GinnyFizz wrote a post on historical female armor - It seems there are a grand total of one possible (and also possibly fake) samples of actual historical examples of armor made specifically for females. Basicly, there were so few female armor wearers that that only a few queens are even mentioned in history - and their armor was ceremonial not for combat . The second most famous female warrior, Boudica, supposedly either wore her dead husbands armor or went topless into battle. Depending on who's history you read.

That one is a fancy plate armor that was supposedly made for Jean d'Arc. It does not have boobs as Jean was supposed to have been a teen 'maid' likely not yet well developed. The armor is considered by many historians as fake, made years after for a child, a scam or for display. Of the historical drawings - The one that is most often recognized as possibly accurate shows no noticeable upper torso difference between her armor and the male armor. But other depictions do show a small upper torso bulge - but very few have boobs. Link: http://www.stjoan-center.com/topics/armor.html

Essentially we have a statistical sample of one to base female armor on - and that one may well be a fake. So much for the realism argument. As I have already said, the game is fantasy and if we can have dragons why not fantasy female armor? Whatever floats you boat.
