Mod not visible in New or search

I published a mod 2hrs ago https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/48364

 

It was visible in new mods for a few minutes and started getting downloads, then suddenly no longer visible. Mods published after it are visible.

Why?

It shows up fine for me. Perhaps you're blocking a tag?

Now it's showing, but there was definitely a period where it wasn't. I'm not blocking any tags.

It can take around 5 minutes to appear everywhere on the site. If it takes longer than that you can give it a "kick" by adding a single space to your description and saving it.

That's not the issue. It was already visible everywhere (new mods list, my profile user files), before it disappeared everywhere (for 2hrs or more, I wasn't monitoring).

 

I don't expect you to have the answer or to tell me if you did. I'm just documenting that mods can be hidden from public without any warning or indication to the mod author; as far as the author knows, the mod is published. This was not an important mod and I don't care if it's hidden. But it makes me not want to release any mods on Nexus in the future. Thanks for your time.

Mods should only be hidden if they are hidden by the staff, the author or the user viewing the page is filtering out that mod.

 

We've been doing some work on the homepage feeds the last few days so it might have just been a one-off.

@jn64 I had this too, when I opted a mod in the DP system, opting out "solved" the issue.

Interesting, can you replicate this? If it disappears when you opt it in, that's definitely not meant to happen.

Until yesterday I could replicate it. Luckily it got auto-resolved.

But it's also the first time out of 200 that it happened
