I actually thought Fable looked very promising until

Bah, Fable is a stupid console-game! No console-rpg has ever had any depth or plot whatsoever, and it is therefore moot to compare those two games.

note that I don't have a console; I actually thought Fable looked very promising until I found out that it was only for X-box! Blasted developers - no mercy on us PC-players!

Final Fantasy. Any of them. There, you have a console game with depth and plot.

 

If you think that no console game has had depth, you don't deserve to play Fable. ;)

Star Wars KOTOR had a good plot and was pretty in depth...

anyway, I'm not too sure. Fable looks very good and if it is as what they say it will be than I think it will be better than Morrowind... But only time will tell. Fable is suppossed to be the morrowind killer... but same was with the issue with True Crime and vice city. True Crime was suppossed to kill vice city, but failed horribly. Well, I hope Fable will be fun, and if there is more customization to it, and just as much freedom as morrowind and more things to do (aside from marrying and having kids and buying houses), then i feel it will be slightly better. However there is still the issue of Morrowind PC. And with mods, you can basically change the entire game and put in whatever you want... someone may make a mod where you can buy houses, marry others, and have kids... who knows?

that brings up a better question, "Fable vs. MEmod". morrowind fanboys please refrain from the general uber reaction on a 100.1% allegience with mw and actually study deeply the games before you post.

Maybe you didnt realize that sarcasm looks the same as non-sarcasm when you type it. You didnt make your sarcasm obvious enough so you got us console rpg players slapping you on the wrist for offending those awesome games. Fable isn't half as big as MW - you just have more freedom. If you read that article, you'd know that Untouchable.

You can't hammer anyone, as your arguments are as weak as your general behaviour. Can you tell me why you always stand as the personification of weakness concerning any discussion?

Which is a perfectly valid reason to dislike it. Poor graphics quality, no patches or mods, terrible control setup, high cost. The xbox is far inferior to the PC and a waste of money, so requiring the purchase of one to play a game is a good enough reason not to buy the game.

Amazing how you can tell this just from some screenshots/previews. Besides, size isn't the only issue. A massive dull world with poor gameplay is a terrible game. And development time means nothing. It is just as likely that the game simply didn't meet production deadlines as that all five years of that were absolutely productive.

Ok, so it got a favorable review. One review means nothing... I could easily find reviews praising Morrowind just as highly. And even the author admits that "I still have some concerns over certain areas of Fable and I can't say that it will definitely be "the greatest RPG of all time" as Peter Molyneux claims." On the other hand, Morrowind is already one of, if not THE, greatest RPGs ever.
