how could i have been so dumb? without pharzon there would be no thread! and here i am trying to kill him and ultimately the entire topic in the process! i am so sorry for attempting to obliterate the opposing force in this debate. for without it where would my game be and who would i be? please, pharzon, excuse my severe disregard for the morals of the sacred dabate. i appreciate your attendance at this memorable post and ultimately in this debate as my opposition (as well as my prey.)

As the link further back did not work for me, I searched around myself for screenshots, reviews and suchlike for Fable. Yes, the graphics are good - for a console. In other words, they are the same quality as Morrowind on a half-decent PC. The gameplay looks ambitious, but I will be most intrigued as to how they manage to fit a game of this complexity on the Xbox, especially considering you will be using a joypad for the combat, etc. If they manage to do it, it may just pip Morrowind for gameplay, but then it runs into a little problem - modding. With Fable, you are stuck with the original game, albeit it is a pretty freeform one. Not so with Morrowind. There you have fan-made mods right, left and centre, and, even if you can't find one you like, you can make your own.

 

In short, from what I've seen so far, Fable will be very good, but Morrowind is as good, if not slightly better.

1) You posted a private message without my permission.

 

2) You didn't even bother to pay attention to who you owed an apology to. I'll give you a hint, READ THE PM YOU QUOTED.

 

3) Not only did you miss the point, but you made a joke of the "apology" and used it as an excuse for more flaming.

 

4) You BRAG about how you "crushed the opposition" by defying moderator orders and making an "apology" that shows just how much contempt you have for forum rules.

 

This childish behavior ends right now. You are out of warnings, do it again and it's strike two.

Precisely. The XcretementBox is an outdated piece of hardware, does not support modding (most important feature of good games), controllers suck, it's owned by satan-brood, what else do I have to bring up?

man, theres always someone to hate on a great thing, and Fable i guess will be no exception. w/e, mods or no mods Fable will likely be bigger than Morrowind plus all the mods ever made (ok, officially submitted for it [minus MEmod]). ecpecially since five plus years have been put into it.

ok I voted for morrowind mainly because of the freedom it gives the player, not only in-game but as well as outside the game, meaning that you can change it any way you want, and that is why a console game will always lack in face of a pc game like morrowind. Now if you want a more fair comparison whay not compare fable aginst a game like final fantacy( as one poster here put it , any of them ), in that area you would most lkely get a more even argument because they are both console games that have a ton of depth to them.

Slaiv: I'm not sure that I agree that Fable's graphics looks better than Morrowind's. But I won't make any final judgement before I see the final release of Fable. It has been seen before that games change for the better as they are getting closer and closer to release. But Fable does looks promising, although I will never get to play it. Don't own a X-box and don't plan on buying one..
