CBBE vs Dimonized UNP?

Doing a fresh install with patch 1.9 and reinstalling and downloading new mods

wanted to know which one is better in terms of immersion and other compatible armor mods

was using CBBE skinny before and some armor mods were incompatible (i.e. UNP mods).
(on another note, is there a way to make cbbe work with unp armor mods? or are the proportions just too skinny?)

CBBE has wider range of armours, but not as good range in terms of body textures or general support. It seems as of late that UNP and its constituent UNPB are getting more attention, especially in terms of body textures and a rise in armor mesh conversions.

I wouldn't say 60 texture mods is 'not a good range' (out of 350+ mods listed in the CBBE Compatible Files thread - it's probably around 400 by now, as it's been a while since I last counted), and I as well as a few others patrol the mod's comments daily, answering questions and giving help when needed, not to mention Caliente's still around, so 'general support' is pretty good too.

 

You can use UNP outfits on CBBE bodies. You just need to be aware that the shape will be UNP, meaning if you put an UNP outfit on CBBE Slim, the bust will get a lot bigger, the shoulders and hips wider and the waist thicker, and if the outfit in question is skimpy/doesn't cover the pelvis, then you'll see hip-gaps.

 

Caliente is currently working on a BodySlide update that will hopefully automate the conversion process, meaning when it's released, you can use BodySlide to convert UNP outfits to CBBE, with both shape and texture.

I have used both and by far CBBE has the best texture replacers. I have also used UNP outfits and, for the most part, have little problem fitting the CBBE body. Caliente's BodySlide and Texture Blender are invaluable, especially for fitting adjusted bodies to armor. Many moders today make versions of textures to fit all three body types.

 

It really comes down to "do I want an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy" it is a matter of taste.

 

I prefer CBBE.

I prefer CBBE myself as well but I have been getting into screenarchery on the premium images section and I've been recommended UNP by a lot of people who use pinup poser. Again, like the others said its a matter of taste. If your a casual gamer and want a lot of armor mods, (more often lore-ish friendly) then use CBBE. Or if you like using mods like pinup poser and like a lot of skimpy/anime style armors, (I myself dont like these armors Im only using UNP for screens) then use UNP.
