JustDon
What and which FNIS and where is the Vortex tool box to stick it in? I have been watching Gopher VORTEX - Beginner's and have down loaded two MODs andSSE unofficial patch.A Vortex popup told me I need to put a FNIS in it's tool box.So to try this I had to click out of the box so I can't say if it said whyand also I've sleep since then. There are several FNIS at nexus do I need them all or just this one FNIS Behavior SE 7_6 XXLand how do I add it as a tool in Vortex? Thanks I'm new at doing this and I appreciate your help. Also the knowledge some people have to create thinglike this amazes me..So far I'm having a blast and I have been practicing my cursing and quite good at it.Other wise my wives are not so impressed.. So far the game seems to be operating good one app that supposed to show roads isn't showingthe roads but the darn skies are clear.. The patch sure did change some things up seems it is more detailed..So neat when I figured where I messed up with Vortexs help
HadToRegister
All of this is covered right in the Knowledge Base that's built into Vortex right under the TOOL SETUP: FNIS sectionClick the Knowledge Base Tab, then click TOOL SETUP: FNIS.There's an in depth video that shows you how to set everything up step-by-step You only need ONE Fnis, read the description of each one to decide. The XXL version has a ton of animations in it, but can crash because of the amount of animations
anjenthedog
EDIT: stupid side panel doesn't identify where posts are coming from, grumble grumble...Anyway. I missed that this was for Skyrim LE... but overall it still applies so I'm not killing my post ad have updated the one important link at the bottom of my wordy post FWIW, once setup, Vortex can use FNIS seamlessly, without any direct interaction by the player. Although back when Skyrim 1.5.73 and 1.5.80 were active, I did have to fiddle with FNIS every time I deployed a new mod (perhaps I just hadn't realized you could have it run in the background at the time), I haven't directly interacted with FNIS in over a year now. You can always check or edit your FNIS setup by clicking the "Configure FNIS" button from the mods tab of Vortex. Everything else, pretty much what HadToRegister said. You only need ***one (?ish?). ***Having said that, I believe (could very well be wrong) that the standard FNIS (current version afaik 7.6) is needed prior to installing the extended FNIS. I have both installed, although XXL is the one that is apparently called (from seeing the version referred to when in the FNIS applet back when I was having FNIS "pop up" during deployment). The XXL version is technically only needed when you have or expect to have large animation counts exceeding the standard animation count limitations. Finally, there's another useful mod that assists on large animation counts, called Animation Limit Crash Fix SSE ...erm... or Animation Crash Limit Fix LE if for Skyrim LE., that you might consider installing IFF you need it or IFF you expect to need it (ie your current animation count is getting close to the limits and you expect to or want to load more than the standard limits can handle).
