Requesting opinions on releasing mods

So I'm working on a series of mods that turn all vanilla vaults (111, 75, 95, 114) and the Vault-Tec Regional Offices into working settlements, with the eventual goal of interconnecting them using some sort of intervault transport system worthy of Vault-Tec (the pneumatic people tubes of Futurama keep coming to mind).

I've got 111 done (waiting on some permissions before releasing it), as well as the Vault-Tec offices (I think, bound to be bugs there, most likely navmesh issues). My question is would it be better to have one mod page for the whole series where people could download the segment they want, or 5 different mod pages, one for each vault and the office building?

To have it all in one place is probably best. I'm still undecided if I'll create a separate workshop mod & settlement mod, or just 1 with both, but I'm pretty sure I'm going for just 1 mod page. Makes it easier for people to 'find all parts' which belong together I think (even if they don't need eachother to function.)

Allthough i wonder how having separate mods for each location is going to complicate things for your 'transport system'. As you'll have to keep all possible combinations in mind. (about 25 in this case)

btw: check InsMainShaft01Static, under Static/Interiors/Institute/Main (CK), if you haven't already, for your Futurama flashback

To bad that there's only one of those. (no bends, no opening/doorway etc.) not that it matters all that much, as i don't see how you could actually make your character really move (visually) along those tubes. (would be awesome though

One way i can think of is letting the player stand underneath the above mentioned tube, and use a invisible elevator to move him/her up into the tube, load the destination and use the same technique to lower the character down the tube, to the ground. ...but even that would be a lot of work to accomplish, mostly script wise. (Haven't done a lot with Papyrus myself yet)

I'm leaning towards one place, just figured I'd solicit opinions from people who have done a lot more modding and releases.

The transport system would be a separate piece. I haven't really thought about the details yet, just some ideas. Could be a loading door that takes you to an underground monorail station, in which case it's just a terminal to configure the exit door. I like the tube idea (and the invisible elevator, lift you up and play whooshing noise), but it's harder to implement because I don't want to tell someone "you can't use this corner just in case I need it later!" Eh, I'll think of something. It might be something the player has to build on their own.

Or it might never get done lol Just a thought. My main goal is to colonize every vanilla vault (plus 88). Have to spend some time learning about navmesh though, I highly suspect that settlers won't walk up the stairs in the Vault-Tec Office. I almost couldn't myself because there's an invisible collision marker that is totally unnecessary that blocks a small section (it's there to keep you from falling between two damaged floor pieces, when it's physically impossible to fall between those two damaged floor pieces). Once I found that and deleted it everything opened up, but I'm betting they never navmeshed the stairs correctly.

Will these settlements need your help?

Hey, keep your trash dwelling Minutemen out of my nice, clean vaults! Until they can learn to use a broom and bathe they aren't welcome!

I went with one, but it does make version control difficult when there are 5 main files, plus whatever optional ones I come up with. Also the front page ends up a wall of text that lazy players don't read. I'm trying to move a bunch of that to sticky posts, but they don't read those either :pinch:
