What causes a FPS drop with an increase in lag/stutter?

I have been playing about a week since I got everything cleaned and organized with only a very minor acceptable stutter in the miliseconds and FPS is usually 55-60 around whiterun and 45-50 most everywhere else. Now I'm getting 25-45 around Whiterun and grass is loading as I run through it, water looks like a block of ice until I'm right in front of it and tjhe lag/stutter is sometimes as long as 5-10 seconds. I have 8Gb VRam and usually no problems at all. I know my limit and usually do fine within it; what may have happened? Help is much appreciated!

What video card are you using??, i solved the fps drop with my Radeon 7950's in crossfire, i don't know about Nvidia??

of course i'm using enb for aa and it is far superior to in game aa, turn off aa if you have it installed. In control panel if you are using a ati card use the adaptive aa for enb mods.

I solved it again for ati cards, but sure about Nvidia.

Lol its a complex use of several different mod's combined ENB-sweetfx-RCRN-antilag

antilag can be found here

http://www.kegetys.net

Even with all that working in the background i still get amazing fps, the antilag did help a bit, i have several tips and trick that might help you. Again depends on your card

Also i have better luck with the 32bit drivers compared to the 64bit drivers, i told you it was complex :D

<p>I have ATI HD 6700 at factory setting and system is 64 so probably my drivers too

I don't curently use any enb unless Climate of Tamriel comes with it. I dont have AA on either. My settings are at High with decals set to medium and distance for most things at 10 except grass at 15 on the Game Settings.

Also, I rearranged the Bathing beauties to be at bottom of load order but BOSS wants to keep mixing them back in, what do you think?

P.S. Is Direct3D antilag v1.01 what I should download?

Ya i had some issues like yourself, i had to do some real research to figure it out, i think strangely enough nvidia gpu's are immune to microstuttering for some reason???, unexplained much.

You can get a performance enb, the aa i think in game has lots to do with microstuttering. For some reason with adaptive aa and enb fixes it.

best to rename the directx dll to something like d3d9_antilag.dll, better compatibility that way.

Boy, don't I feel like a dummy.....I did get me the performance enb but kept having lag issues around whiterun; turns out I had 2 versions of Apachii hair running at same time....everyone was wearing high poly hair in the whiterun area along with bathing beauties which adds even more people. after I got that straightened out it runs much smoother now. Imagine that!

Thanks for the help

J
