Hussards Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 When I shoot several times in first or third person, my character suddenly speeds up without me knowing why. The effect fades after a few seconds or when I open the pip boy or the consoleI tried to solve the problem by removing mods or perks that could affect the gameplay or weapons but it didn't change anything.Do you have any idea? I've been looking for two days without finding anything
HeyYou Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 There are perks that let you move faster while aiming.... there are perks that increase your movement speed in general..... I don't recall if there are any legendary weapon effects that do that though....
Hussards Posted April 18, 2021 Author Posted April 18, 2021 I removed all the perks that can do this and it doesn't change anything
HeyYou Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Check in your 'active effects' list, see if anything there jumps out at you. Your weapon doesn't have the duelist legendary by any chance?
Hussards Posted April 18, 2021 Author Posted April 18, 2021 No effects are active and the problem affects all weapons firing for several seconds
Hussards Posted April 19, 2021 Author Posted April 19, 2021 I did several tests and here are some details:- the problem occurs when aiming for more than 5 seconds, while moving or not moving- the longer the aiming, the longer and more powerful the speed bonus- the problem does not come from a mod, I removed all of them and the speed bonus is still present
HeyYou Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 That's gotta be from a mod. Nothing in the base game should cause that. (or from the DLCs for that matter....) If you are using a mod manager, disabling mods doesn't necessarily remove them from the game.... it's also possible that the affect is baked into your save.....
Hussards Posted April 20, 2021 Author Posted April 20, 2021 Problem solved ! thank to the command "recycleactor" applied on player character
HeyYou Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Problem solved ! thank to the command "recycleactor" applied on player characterInteresting. Seems like is was just some lingering affect that the game forgot to dispose of. :D
