Can't use forge/enchanter/grindstone, character steps away

So, this started after a new install of skyrim. I usually go and reinstall the whole game and all mods as soon as a new patch comes out, to avoid extreme bugginess.
As soon as I use a forge, or an enchanter, as soon as the UI pops up, and my character stops his animation, he backs away, like I pressed ESC or TAB. I really don't know why this is happening. I thought it was something with the animations, as I use the mystic knight animation replacer, and fose, but I tried removing both mods, and it still doesn't work. I tried approaching the /crafting item/ in question with my weapon drawn, still nothing.
Also, I tried loading an earlier save, still nothing. Tried making a new character, still nothing.

 

EDIT: It also happens whrn I sit anywhere. As soon as my character sits, he gets back up. :/

I would usually never think of bumping, but no one even acknowledged my problem, so I'm gonna try again.
I tried everything, and to no avail.

Have you tried a new game without any mods at all? Not just deactivated but fully uninstalled so that there are no mod remnants in the data folder structure.

No, I have not.. As I said, I just reinstalled Skyrim (a clean install), and I reduced the number of mods and all..
So, doing it all again would be a massive pain, especially since I did it two days ago.

Also, this problem didn't happen before the reinstall, and I had the same mods. (plus others which I uninstalled)

You may have to deal with the massive pain.

 

If you just applied a bunch of mods to a new install, especially in you also applied an old save, you could have just recreated whatever problem you had that caused you to do the reinstall in the first place, or created new ones, with no idea where to start troubleshooting.

 

Adding a bunch of mods and settings changes all at once means when you have a problem, like you do now, you have no idea which mod or mods are involved in the problem.

Also the mods you uninstalled may also be adding to the problem, with orphaned scripts.

 

The way to avoid this is to do a complete clean reinstall, as Ishara pointed out, with no mods at all, then start a new game, no mods, ini changes or other tweaks until exiting Helgen. Then make one or two changes at a time, run BOSS and play a bit to ensure the game is stable before adding another couple. It is slower but when you encounter problems you know exactly where to look for troubleshooting.

Just in case someone stumbles upon this or the OP still hasn't fixed this...

 

The solution is to open the console and type in player.tai. It refreshes the player animations.

I'm having this problem too, and player.tai doesnt fix the issue.

 

Maybe Khalleb and I are being kinda lazy, but I understand where he's coming from.

I'm sure he, like me, is sick of reinstalling skyrim and mods, so I'm still hoping for a different solution if anyone has any ideas. Though I suspect I may have to bite the bullet

Had the same problem. Reinitialized duel reborn from mcm menu: resolved issue. If not focus on mods that affect animation.

 

Edit: Problem began again; uninstalled magic duel reborn, resolving it.

Thank you this did fix my problem although it was not the same mod that caused me problems

I am also experiencing this same issue, have posted on several similar threads with no luck so far. I have tried the TAI trick, doesn't work, have gone through all my mods and can not find which one is doing this. It seems funny that this issue is occurring with so many different mods, from what I have read in other posts everything from vampirism mods to magic duel reborn can cause it, but I don't have any of those type mods loaded and never have. Does anyone have anything definitive on what's causing it? Thanks in advance for any information.
