drbeavis
This is a fairly basic question, but I couldn't find it through Google or whatever. It deals with how Nexus Mod Manager uninstalls mods. Basically, does NMM replace the old textures (NMC's texture pack) that a mod (FOOK) had overwritten when I uninstalled FOOK? I have no problem downloading NMC's 4 gigs of textures again but don't want to unless I have too. Keep in mind, NMC's was manually extracted into my Fallout folder so I'm not sure if NMM would keep the files on layaway or however it works. Thanks in advance. blove
Not sure either with manual versus manager installs. But the following are the NMC Full/MaxBump files that FOOK2 1.2 Open Beta would have overwritten: Volume in drive D is DATA Volume Serial Number is <snip> Directory of d:\temp\textures 05/16/2013 12:40 AM <DIR> .05/16/2013 12:40 AM <DIR> ..03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> Architecture03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> Dungeons05/16/2013 12:38 AM <DIR> Landscape05/16/2013 12:38 AM <DIR> Vehicles 0 File(s) 0 bytes Directory of d:\temp\textures\Architecture 03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> .03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> ..03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> Suburban03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> Urban 0 File(s) 0 bytes Directory of d:\temp\textures\Architecture\Suburban 03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> .03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> ..08/11/2009 01:32 PM 349,680 suburbanrubble01_n.dds 1 File(s) 349,680 bytes Directory of d:\temp\textures\Architecture\Urban 03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> .03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> ..08/11/2009 01:32 PM 1,398,256 edgetrim01.dds08/11/2009 01:32 PM 349,680 edgetrim01_n.dds08/11/2009 01:32 PM 699,184 streetlitter01.dds08/11/2009 01:32 PM 87,528 streetlitter01_n.dds 4 File(s) 2,534,648 bytes Directory of d:\temp\textures\Dungeons 03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> .03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> ..03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> NeoClassical 0 File(s) 0 bytes Directory of d:\temp\textures\Dungeons\NeoClassical 03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> .03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> ..01/19/2011 02:28 PM 1,398,256 neoclassicalmaintile03.dds01/19/2011 02:28 PM 1,398,256 neodarkmaintile03.dds 2 File(s) 2,796,512 bytes Directory of d:\temp\textures\Landscape 05/16/2013 12:38 AM <DIR> .05/16/2013 12:38 AM <DIR> ..03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> Roads 0 File(s) 0 bytes Directory of d:\temp\textures\Landscape\Roads 03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> .03/14/2011 05:00 PM <DIR> ..01/19/2011 02:29 PM 1,398,256 roadwasteland01.dds 1 File(s) 1,398,256 bytes Directory of d:\temp\textures\Vehicles 05/16/2013 12:38 AM <DIR> .05/16/2013 12:38 AM <DIR> ..06/05/2010 12:23 PM 696,448 vertibirda.dds 1 File(s) 696,448 bytes Total Files Listed: 9 File(s) 7,775,544 bytes 26 Dir(s) 960,042,123,264 bytes free You can use the list to verify your files. drbeavis
Okay, those files are definitely there and my FOOK as been uninstalled so I'm gonna assume that NMM has replaced those files that were overwritten. Although, my files were a bit larger, do you have the large (4 gig) version of NMC's texture pack? I suppose you do, otherwise there wouldn't be a disparity and/or NMM would crash games with leftover files :S thank you
blove
Those are the FOOK2 1.2OB files, your remaining NMC files would probably be larger. Poor wording on my part.
