Mastashake15
It's been a while since I've played Skyrim, I've redownloaded the game and I have no mods right now so I'm starting fresh. All I have is the base game, the high res packs from bethesda and SKSE. I used nexus mod manager before but I think now I want to use Wrye Bash so I can use bashed patches. Just wondering if it's a better route to download manually and use Wrye Bash or use Nexus Mod Manager to download the mods and just use Wrye Bash for bashed patches. I also remember around the time I stopped playing the game that TESVEdit came out and was wondering if this is still worthwhile looking into and using. Can't really remember much about this stuff so anyone that can give some reminder tips is appreciated. Thanks.
IsharaMeradin
NMM vs Wrye BashEither way you want to go will work. You can download with NMM and do the bashed patch with WB. Or you can download manually and all that with WB. My opinion: Use NMM to download & WB for the bashed patch. I like that NMM will inform you of updates to the mod(s) and you can even endorse from inside NMM. As far as TES5Edit, you can use it if you want. A lot of people do. They've done their best to keep it up to date with the patches. My opinion: I'm still on the fence. Not 100% convinced that "cleaning" is truly necessary. At least cleaning done by the user. I'd rather the mod author indicate whether or not their mod is "clean" (i.e. any flagged edits marked as "dirty" are actually necessary)
