Crash When Going Outside

Yeah, I can't get out. not sure what mod did it, however ever since I installed DarNified, Oblivion has been going wack, constant crashes (I only used to get the occasional crash, meaning my computer is too hot, and it was always right, and I'm running MMM) and not to mention it stops a few other mods from working. One mod ups the spellmaking values times 3. And a journal mod, it stuffed that up too. It's no longer active (since it screwed up custom loading screens mod, and the fact that it wouldn't work in menus, either escape or personal or talking to someone) and Oblivion is crashing every time I try to exit. I have made a few tries, but with minimal success.

 

With me are 2 Midas Magic Companion Companions, Christina and Zoe. I have Astral Recall, and it 20% of the time works. However, if it does work, it lags like I've never seen lack before, and I've seen online brawl matches.

 

One time, (it took ages) I slowly made my way to get to Midas' basement (recently installed new version, but problem was happening way before it) and I succeeded, before crashing. Next time, I went there without any companions, and I made a fair way. I made it to Skingrad to tell the Count of the vampires I've killed, and he gave me info on Mannimarco.

 

There were many problems though, it lacked like I've never seen before, the lighting is now screwed (it's now super mega bright everywhere), the loading screens take forever, and just constant fear and frustration of whether it's going to crash or not.

 

I'm fed up, I'm pretty much stuck there till someone helps me out. And I'd love to tell all of you all the hundreds of mods I'm using (I tried removing a lot of them, even putting the resolution to it's smallest, same problem), but that will take forever, since I have a big day ahead and should be in bed right now. I did see in an earlier topic that someone had every mod of there's in code or something, so if someone can teach me how to do that, that'd be awesome. Also, if someone knows my problem without my list, please help. I guess what I'm asking for is this.

 

1. Why does it get to the end of loading the loading screen, then when it's nearly done each and everytime, it freezes (music keeps playing) when I try to leave the cavern.

2. Why does the cavern seem slower?

3. Why is there lag I've never seen that slow before in the Astral Plane?

4. Why didn't DarNified work (OMOD version)?

5. Why couldn't I use the mouse to select stuff when activating DarNified (same for arrow buttons, except they were stuffed up)

6. (Off topic) why is it when I unsummon a monster on Midas Magic, when I fast travel, it's back at my side again? (Doesn't screw up anything, just annoying.

7. How can I copy a list of all mods I'm using for you guys to know and help with?

General Load-Order Guidelines

Here are the guidelines that I adhere to, personally.

 

~ Unofficial Oblivon Patch should always be first on the list. The fixes are great, but most aren't essential, so if a mod overwrites them its not a big deal, and the fixes have the potential for screwing up other mods if loaded later.

 

~ Offical Content (DLC's) should be loaded last, until you complete all quests associated with them (that includes buying all furniture for the houses and whatnot). Once they're complete, they can be safely moved up in the list. This is especially important for Knights of the Nine, which will have some fairly major problems unless loaded last (unless you get the UOP for KotN)

 

~ Major overhaul mods (OOO, Frans, MMM) should be loaded near the end. That gives you the most complete experience with any of those particular mods. It also lets you carefully choose which other mods to load afterwards... only move mods that you know will conflict and that you want the changes from. For example, I have Improved Soul Gems below OOO because I know that OOO changes the icons of some of the SG's, and ISG needs to be below to show through.

 

Some people will recommend putting larger mods first, but personally I disagree. There are a number of mods out there that make minor tweaks, and loading after a large mod will end up completely overwriting a chunk from one of the bigger mods because of the way conflicts work in Oblivion (even one minor change will take precedence over the entire record... for example, simply tweaking the speed of a weapon can cause every stat of that weapon to be retained to vanilla levels if loaded later).

I don't understand why this is happening, MMM works fine, completely fine in everyway, didn't stuff up when I played for a while with it.

Sometimes crashes like this one happen because you removed a mod. Was your mod list the same when you tried to leave the cave as when you went in?

 

Try this, It's still experimental, but it's getting good revues.

I think I did remove a mod, but it was an unimportant one. I can give a more accurate description of the problem. It's not just going outside, it's going anywhere. It's not necessarily lag (though it is lag) the screen is flickering, as if it's still loading the picture or redoing the picture. I also went on to add all the mods I had used in the past and added them all and it still doesn't work. I also do have that above link you gave me, there's been no difference.

 

Another problem of mine. I went to make a new character. I can move the cursor to edit the looks, like say, age, but I can't choose stuff. What I mean is I can control the face, age, etc, but I can't choose hair styles, eyes, but for some reason, I can still pick races. The other stuff just stays stuck, just like it did when I installed DarNiFied. I really want to get 2 characters going (one male, one female, my current one) but I want them to look good, not default.
