TheObstinateNoviceSmith
I apologize if this is in the wrong section and or if I did this improperly... Anyway, I noticed the guards in my game are seriously amped up. Like waaaaay strong (like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his glory days or Sylvester Stallone Rocky 5 strong) for some odd reason. I noticed this when I first transformed into a real werewolf (you know, a modded one rather than the lame on offered by vanilla Skyrim) and I couldn't even kill one of them. I tried several times and those guys almost did me in every time. Get to the Silverhand Fort and I am sending those guys flying left and right so much that they were getting Capitol One Skyrim Frequent Flyer Reward Points. Then I noticed that when I go to towns/cities like Falkreth, they are aggressive towards me. When I quick travel there, they instantly draw their weapons and say "You're trespassing!" then if I stand there too long, they all attack me and they are also drinking Red Dragon energy drinks apparently as they kill me almost instantly. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me the mod(s) responsible for what I am experiencing. I am hoping that someone will read this and go, "Do you have the blah blah mod by any chance, cause that will beef the guards up something fierce." (exchanging "blah blah" for the name of the actual mod likely responsible of course) rather than me needing to list all 130 mods that I have active right now. Thanks guys, and again if I did any part of this incorrectly.
ripple
Unfortunately, my crystal ball is in the shop and the magical hanging mirror I ordered from EBay has not yet arrived. So I am *predicting* you will do this the same way everyone does, which is by posting information about what mods you are using, starting with the BOSS log (with the messages), including the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS, enclosed in spoiler tags so they don't clutter the screen. TheObstinateNoviceSmith
I thought I would just take a shot my friend. I know that it would be best if I list everything, but it was possible that someone might know without all their fortune teller equipment because maybe they downloaded a mod for the purpose described above or know that the side effect of a particular mod (like Deadly Combat) is to also make guards crazy strong. In other words, I assumed that since I don't think this is the result of a bug or a mod behaving improperly that someone wouldn't need to be a toll free hotline psychic to go "Yeah, I have that mod, it's the blah blah blah" To break it down further for you (since I have no desire to over tax you right now before your stuff arrives from e-bay (it can be a pain waiting)), if someone came on here and said "When I turn into a werewolf, my werewolf looks way huge with big biceps and whatnot. I don't think this is in error and think it is one of my mods but not sure which one." I would (without the use of a crystal ball or a smelly circus tent) say my guess is Bigger Badder Werewolves. See if that is in your mod list. I have the same mod and that is what makes my werewolf hella pumped like he's been using that membership to Brick Bodies I got him last Christmas. Obviously, if got no response, my next step would be to add a list IF it were that important to me to find out, but honestly, I was curious and figured why not ask sorry that seems to have offended you so much or you thought it was stupid of me to do so without going through all that stuff. billyro
Erm, I think that was just standard procedure. It's much easier to help someone with that information. :) Do you have any overhauls? Maybe something that amps all NPCs? Sometimes those overhaul mods make guards really tough to be a challenge and so you don't get an urge to violate the law. TheObstinateNoviceSmith
Obviously it would be easier billy with more info, I know that. But like I said, I thought I'd take a shot without going through all that because providing all that info is not easier on me and since it is not a really big deal, I wasn't sure if I was going to gather that info anyway if I got no answer here. I was just trying. That's it, lol. See my example for what I mean, but if I got no responses, that would have been okay too. Now if after days of no response I came back and said, "What the heck guys! No one can tell me what I want to know!?" or something similar, THEN what you and ripple said would have been warranted. Anyway, yea... I have deadly combat, but while it makes other NPCs tougher for sure, it doesn't seem to increase NPC armor or health... then again, you know, it might. Lol Maybe that's the culprit in regards to making them amped, but I doubt that has to do with their roid rage. I show up and guards say I am trespassing. I run past them a bit (enough for them to sheathe their weapons) and they are calm again when they see me unless I quick travel out and then come back. It's just weird. Not game threatening, just unusual enough to where I figured I'd at least ask about it in hopes someone else had the same thing happen and wouldn't need a full list of the contents in my NMM, game, PC, refrigerator, and neighbor's kitchen cabinet. ;) If not, that's okay too. dubhorizon
Had the same problem but FIXED it! It's the king of Riverhelm mod. You must put Spike.esm on the top of the list, riverhelm.esp somewhere close there and King of Riverhelm.esp last of ALL mods you have. It is specified in the mod page but I had overlooked it and boss didn't sort it out.
