Flumme
Hello, I have some trouble finding a solution for my graphic problem. To be honest: English is not my first language and THIS may be the biggest difficulty to find a solution *shame* :pinch: - I had some trouble with the loading of textures just in front of me. I could solve this problem with this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/496880503081995785/#c496881136925116593 - But now: The textures a bit farer away (big billboards, grass) are loading really late, TO late after my opinion. Is there something I could try to do, that they load quicker? Here my mods (sorry, in german): https://www.fallout-forum.com/index.php?thread/7330-meine-pers%C3%B6nliche-mod-installation/#post150684 Somebody got an idea? Please. Thanks!
LarannKiar
I'm no expert on computers but it may be your storage drive. Or do you use and SSD? Too many loose files can also cause such issues. How many .dds files are in your Fallout4/Data/Textures folder?

LarannKiar
I see. Then it may be one of your mod. You have to find out which one of them makes the texture loading slow. 1. Create a backup of your load order, ini files (Documents/MyGames/Fallout4 folder) and save files 2. Move your ini files somewhere else (new ones will be generated). 3. Disable your texture / overhaul mods, start a new game (for the clean save). Textures should load fast now. 4. Now activate your mods one by one, and don't forget to check the textures regurarly. Flumme
There is something like a grid .... but only a few textures ... I see for example the mountains in the background very clear. But the house whitch is a bit nearer have "grids" and appears later .... very strange. Thanks :)
monesq
Hard to tell without a pic. I am not an expert, just have learned from my plethora of mistakes. The above suggestion is valid, there may be some mod conflicts or maybe some textures that are missing or damaged. It could also be an LOD issue or DOF, heck, there are more possibilities than solutions. Viel Glück
romalight
(if you don't do this) Hello. in your game folder there is two exe files, Fallout 4 and another one: if you run it, you can choose at graphics many things and also about the long distance graphics. Maybe if you set this to first level, so they are load close, maybe this solve the problem. Well, this is my opinion. That's all. Thanks.
