I already have a psvita from day one release, so i am set for next gen. Addicted to Plants VS Zombies right now, endless mode on psvita is better then the ps3 version, it locks up after 40 rounds :D. Probably do to the better vram on the psvita.

I hear a lot have xbone pre orders being dropped because of this, sense most of them already have it for the 360 or ps3. When the 360 versions already 720P, they are questioning its next gen status. to them icandy doesn't really matter.

I'm excited for the Xbox One! Rubin gave an update on his opinion after the internet started getting angry about the whole 720p thing. With upscaling, the difference is slight (a little less crisp, but the average console gamer probably couldn't tell). I don't particularly like upscaling, but I understand why they chose to upscale instead of have the game in native.

CoD is a multiplayer online first-person shooter. You absolutely have to have 60+ fps at all times to keep competitive and make things run smoothly. It is so fast-paced, and TVs have such a high amount of input lag, that you have to make every frame count. It is not to say that the game would lag on the XBOX's specs. It's that you might be getting 50fps instead of 60, and that's a no-go in fps land. This is why I exclusively play them on PC. The input lag from the television rules playing them on consoles out for me.

Will also be buying a PS4, but I am infinitely more excited for the XB1 because it seems to have done a lot more than just upgrade the hardware. Twitch TV, for one thing. Finally.

The Most promising First gen next gen game is Killzone shadow fall, and its in a native resolution 1080P in 30fps, when it comes to first gen next gen games, they are comparing it to Crysis 3 in Icandy. Not to mention its over 50gb's plus installs and updates. Just think if this is what to expect fro the ps4 in the future i can see some insane graphics in the near future with better optimizations and api optimization.

The xbone couldn't compete with that.

Not to mention they cracked it open and its a solid piece of hardware and heat pipes

Rumours have it there might be case mods in the future.

That was already debunked.

It seems really obvious that somebody wants Elop out of the race for CEO. These rumors are getting less and less original by the week.

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/11/the-xbox-one-and-ps4-share-similar-specs-but-the-devils-in-the-details/

Multiple field tests show that the "crazy powerful" ps4 is only slightly more powerful than an XBOX One. The difference isn't that extreme (but my definition of extreme would have the ps4 at 1440p for every game). The way the managed to fit everything inside that tiny PS4 box is incredible and quite the feat. It has me excited. But let's not get carried away and pretend that the PS4 will be anything more than "a bit better." Both consoles have heatsinks. Both consoles are incapable of running every game at 1080p (pc master race). Both consoles have custom chips.

The PS4 will look slightly sharper. Not really a game changer.

Disclaimer: I look down on all consoles equally, except for the Wii U. That one gets extra disappointment. These are the woes of a PC gamer with standards that are a little too high.

it can't be debunked, do you have a source or actual facts to back that claim up, if not my source material is fact. They may have the same'ish hardware, but the specs are not.

If this guy becomes ceo, you better start thinking ps in the next five years.

The requirement of a source is on the people who made the claim with absolutely no evidence that he said something he would never have said. "Sources who know how he thinks tell us" is no different than the gossip in celebrity tabloids. On top of that, Bloomberg retracted their statement already (you can see this in the bloomberg article your verge article linked to).
