Just Starting Out

>Head up, ears up< I am a nooB to both modding and forums, so please bear with me. I am mostly online between periods at college, so my usage is relatively regular. I now have some net at home, rather than having to haul my computer next door to get steam running so I can play.

 

>ears perk< What modding XP I have is mostly from dinking around with JKA (Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy) mod textures, I can work a bit in blender, but the conversions had to go through Gmax, which I was never really good at.

I am starting a mod for a wolf race(I mentioned this in True Anthropomorphic Race), but I have no idea how to get started besides concept modeling in blender.

 

I can write a bit, just so long as I have the time for it, and I will have plenty of time this summer.

 

 

I have mostly just been wandering around the forums to see what was what and stumbled across the Newbs section a few days ago, and worked up to posting. I really like the forums and most of the mods available, and will be trying to get ahold of the DLCs so I can use more of them.

 

>ears droop< The Nexus is the first forum I have actually paid any attention to, so I am sort of clueless as to some of the higher forum-ing functions, such as adding pictures. . . I tried once and it just didn't show up.

Welcome to The Nexus. I will get my official duties out of the way and say if you haven't already then go take a look at the Forum Rules and Terms of Service of the site.

 

There is a great deal of info here. Not sure what you want to add pictures to or if you just want to share some screenshots. Depending on that I can answer questions better if you ask them specifically.

 

You will get the hang of things. Some advice 1) Look around for the answers first (google is your friend) 2) if you can't find it then present your question in the appropriate forum in a polite way 3) give as much info as possible

 

People help when and if they can. If I can ever be of assistance let me know.

>ears perk< I think TONS solved my picture issue, I still have to test the solution(I couldn't get any pictures I wanted to show up in my posts to do so). Now that I have internet at home, I will be googling a lot.
