Kalimos
For some reason Vortex seems to skip empty folders in mods when installed using the Mod Manager Download button. Unfortunately, some mods rely on these empty folders existing to work correctly, forcing users to instead install these mods manually. Could Vortex be made to deploy these folders instead of ignoring them?

Kalimos
Mount & Blade II: BannerlordBetter Bowshttps://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/2889?tab=posts I noted the top sticky post from the mod author, and sure enough my Vortex Mod Manager Download had skipped all the empty folders that were present in the manual download. The .zip archive in the Vortex Downloading folder contains the empty directories, but the staged version in my AppData folder only contains the directories that held files. Does the .zip archive extraction process actually run differently in Vortex for each game?
Guest deleted34304850
go to settings/workaround.do you have the option "clean up empty directories" enabled? if so, disable it and see if that helps you?
Kalimos
Hmm, I see this option but it seems it was already disabled. https://imgur.com/a/zafR6VY
Guest deleted34304850
i don't play that game, so I can't really say for sure, but if the mod requires empty folders to function, it may be worth your while reporting the issue via vortex directly to the devs, by clicking the three vertical dots on the right.i would wonder if the mod is packaged in a way that vortex cannot understand - hence the issues. the mod author actually says that this is going to happen, which is curious to me.i would imagine if the devs receive your feedback, or, see this post, they may be able to give a more detailed response to the reason why it doesn't handle empty folders, causing the mod to malfunction. Pickysaurus
Unless the file preview is wrong, that mod does not seen to contain any empty folders in it's archive. Vortex won't make a folder if it isn't present in the first place, that's for sure.
Rattledagger
Unless the file preview is wrong, that mod does not seen to contain any empty folders in it's archive. Vortex won't make a folder if it isn't present in the first place, that's for sure. Quick test, after manually downloading the mod the zip-file includes 9 sub-directories of the main folder, thereof 5 of them are empty while the 6th. sub-directory includes two empty sub-directories. So clearly you can't rely on file preview to see empty directories. Since I've not got Mount and Blade, tried adding mod to SSE instead and using the option "Unpack (as is)", but this only unpacked the 3 sub-directories with files in them.
