  1. Green Acres or Little House on the Prairie (Ingalls, Walnut Grove). TV exploded in the middle of an episode, somewhere around 1975. Never bought a new one. No! It was Mary Hartman. I remember. Them girls were nagging and nagging and that guy fainted and his head fell into the soup. Still wondering what happened next. Soup? SOAP! Now i recall! The gay guy was having an affair with a lesbian dog. No, that was a dream. Er. Maybe twas Mork and Mindy after all. Or All in the Family. Or something dutch. No, i'm sorry. I only remember the explosion. And then the silence. Daddy was laughing. Mom was cooking. I was horrified. Serious nightmares for a week, maybe a month. And then we went to Italy. Which was nice...
  2. I recognize the cycling bit! Same here. Somewhere along the road something went wrong though. Got stuck in the Mod, er Mud. Simply cannot stop tweaking that monstrosiy i created, my Morrowind Mod. Sometimes i hate it. I try to run away. Set fire to my PC. Nuke the appartment. And then it drags me back. Horrible. One advice: don't ever let your mod come close to your perfect game. Because you'll always find some idea that brings it even closer, which triggers an idea which might --- oh man, modding should be on the FDA blacklist! NAH. Go for Gold. And above all: have FUN. Welcome!
  3. Nice to meet you too sir! Afghanistan? Heavy! One question though - no offense if you won't tell, but when people use digits in their userid, i can't help but wonder what they stand for. I'm clueless... BTW i think if you served for your country for 3 years, your country shouldn't keep you waiting for four or more before (whoa) you're allowed back HOME with your Lady. No sir, that ain't fair.
  4. So we're one month further now, and i have my Mod and an Update (service pack) and a Savegame online. I fear i'm neglecting the mod's own site, but with these three files on The Nexus i guess that anyone who wants to give this baby a try will find their way. I'm still quite a newbie here, so i'll probably make many mistakes. I have no idea how to notify downloaders of the new Upgrade for instance. Not by personal message, of that i'm pretty certain. So much more to find out. Oh and by the way: Thanx, Bess. Home is where the Daedra Heart is...
  5. Okay. So i opened CS. Vanilla MW doesn't have these packs. Mods may. A couple of hours later i was totally overwhelmed by a tidal wave of Blighted ones and tougher. Thanxalot, AnubisRaven. It was fun to craft this little minimod.
  6. Thanx DEG, much appreciated. Won't stand a chance of course, as it is so awefully big that it may take months for a new player to fully appreciate it. But that's okay.
  7. In response to post #37751530. #37751740 is also a reply to the same post. Grandpa's eyes, grandpa's hair (only a bit longer) and in a couple of years she'll have gramps' mustache as well, wanna bet?
  8. I am very inconsolably sad that i never received a proper welcome hug by Lisnpuppy. Having said that, i'm having a lot of fun on the Nexus, never expected it to be so immense. I even went into the chat room yesterday, for the first time in my life. Did a funny little act of an old confused grandpa who dropped 'is mouse on 'is teeth but didn't know where to look for them because he lost 'is glasses, only to find out that he was sitting on them and they were utterly bent. It just happened. I couldn't stop it and i loved it. That's what an audience does to me. I love to be a clown. Not a joker. Nor a jerk. Nor a nerd. Nexus after 2-3 days is WAY beyond my wildest expectations. I didn't even have any. Thought i'd drop the mod and continue with what's left of my life. NO SIR. Nexus makes me happy. There's so much more to learn, and so many talented people to learn from. This is HOME.
  9. Now i know i'm getting old. I've read the OP, and followed some of the links. This may be too much for feeble old me. But where modelling is concerned, i have no other option than Blender, as all others are so expensive that i cannot afford them, and ever since the first pirates arrived way back in the eighties when i was your age, my mission is to exterminate them. Thank you very much for the high quality OP (that is if that means Opening Post), and i'll try not to be tempted to skip bits, work through the tutorials, build tiny things, and hope i'm not dead before i get my first models into my sweet old morrowind mega mod. I have visions. Blender might be the key. The Open Source Community is very very dear to me. I think they deserve some Nobel Prize or other, for keeping so many poor souls out of the Pirates' claws... Peace!
  10. In response to post #37751530. She's probably Eva Braun's granddaughter...
  11. I'm starting to *hate* that girl. Every good horror movie has one that keeps appearing wherever you go. Don't look now. Exorcist. King Kong. Tarzan. You name it. She's driving me nuts and i will never ever give a single penny to bl**dy effing CASA!!!
  12. Solid as a Warhammer. You have my vote.
  13. I played lots of First Person Shooters in those days and some Hack and Slash. RPGs made me yawn big time, especially the Baldur series. FPS and H&S were becomming to linear to my taste, and then autumn 2001 i read about an exciting new Title. I saw some images and was hooked straight away. When it finally hit the shops, i was so eager to try it that i took a day off. Stayed home for the remainder of the week. Next week i was 'very ill', so (i hope my boss don't read this - it is true i was cough cough very ill then) Well. The total freedom, the fact that you put something somewhere and when you load that save it's still there, wherever, as many and as long as you want. Hardly ever played H&S or FPS anymore, to me MW has it all. Except - and that's where my mod comes in. The tune will be played at my funeral, and my grave will have a miniature Azura Statue. THAT's how deep i am into Morrowind. It's my Bible.
  14. Hi there I don't know whether it has anything to do with the new ad provider, but suddenly ads are overlapping input forms, like the signin and report ad (...). Had to signin with the passwordfield covered by an ad. How safe that feels? Not too safe.
  15. When someone on the BGS Forum suggested I post my Morrowind Mod on the Nexus, i was furious. The Mod has its own site so you go there. Ehm. Well. Two days ago i finally signed up after months of finalizing, then vinylizing, then goldifying the current edition ( for the Nexus - it had to be perfect (*) ), and i am so bloody happy with what Nexus offers that i wonder how i ever managed without it. Adding a couple of appetising images, adding links to youtube movies, writing articles, a dedicated forum, all in one place, by the Nine, this is truly wonderful. It may be a bit much for a mod that gives Fargoth a dress, but for a Mod of this kind of multi-layeredness, it is absolutely astonishing. I kneel before thee, Dark0ne and Friends Thank you. And what may be most important of all: Feedback. I hope some day people will actually start playing it and sharing their impressions, suggesting new paths, triggering new ideas or even claim bits of territory for their own settlements. It would never have worked on the mod's site, but it may very well happen here. You have not only given me a place to put the result of 11 years of dedication, you've also opened a portal to whatever it may turn in to. This baby deserves it. And you make it possible. Thanx (*) Of course the launch wasn't perfect, i uploaded the wrong zip and the correct one had the same name but in a different folder, trying to upload that one lead to all kinds of weird error messages and no update until i changed its name, but that's totally NOT the point here. What matters is that in the end it worked and now is available. If i die now, it won't be gone.
