Mods that use a FOMOD installer, like Milk Mod Economy, and include the following structure: <moduleDependencies><fileDependency file="Skyrim.esm" state="Active" /></moduleDependencies> Will FAIL to install on this build. This may cause Skyrim SE to CTD before the first menu. Another common dependency is Update.esm. Whether the mod authors are right or not - this is a problem. rmm200 Posted February 24, 2022 Author Share Posted February 24, 2022 It is valid. The problem arises because in previous Vortex builds, Skyrim.esm and Update.esm were flagged as active. Now they are not. Out of the 386 Skyrim SE mods I just had to re-install from the archives, one at a time, I had about six fail due to this error. Fix is easy enough - for me. The new version broke FOMOD installation handling of <moduleDependencies>, as it can't find the installed files to confirm dependency is in place.
