SKSE - All mods working except SkyUI

Hi there,

I'm having trouble -to say the least- with getting SkyUI (version 5.1 according to Vortex) to work. I've experience installing mods succesfully both manually and through Vortex for both Skyrim Speial Edition and Skyrim VR, many of which also required SKSE64 to work. But installing SkyUI (yes, it's also set to "enabled" in Vortex) does nothing. I can still launch the game and play normally, but nothing changes, it simply shows the old UI which makes troubleshooting a lot more difficult.

I've looked online for people with similar problems but could only find cases where people either didn't manage to get SKSE working (or completely skipped that part) or where SkyUI would actually give an error code or crash the game - none of which apply to my case here. Any tips maybe? I've ensured that the game, SKSE and the mod were all up to date.

Probably irrelevant but still listing:

- Win10 edu

- Ryzen 3700x

- 64GB RAM

- Enough storage

- 980Ti

PS: In Skyrim, Pause -> System shows the following in the bottom left corner: "1.6.353.0.8 (SKSE64 2.1.5 rel 6"

Verify the skse scripts are in the right place. Should only be an issue if you messed up a manual install.

And if MCM is working - so is SkyUI.

Top of the suspicion pile is that SkyUI for SE is currently at version 5.2 while SkyUI for Oldrim is at version 5.1.

 

So, possibly you are trying to use the Oldrim version on SE.

 

Or, you should try updating to the current SE version if you are using an outdated one.
