Mod dependencies

Ok im not sure how to phrase this... But Here it goes.

 

Let's say I in mod A have a merchant added somewhere in the world. In mod B i have moved the merchant to a location like a dungeon or something along with several other merchants from mod C D and E.

 

Now let's propose that a player downloads mod A, C and E but does not want mod D. Will mod B still work and simply not show merchant D or will there be errors?

 

I hope someone understood that...
