Why is communism a bad word?

It seems to me that it's all about Control/Power.

Communism promised a world where no one person had power over others.

People who had power over others didn't like that idea.

Fortunately for them, efforts to produce Communist nations failed or were undermined and became dictatorships - where power was exercised over others.

During the 20th Century a great deal of money was spent to influence the minds of westerners, and many left-leaning politicians were persecuted for their beliefs. US media was purged.

The film and media was flooded with anti-red propaganda; The Blob, Them

Never underestimate the power of the media to control the minds of voters. We voted to be divided and ruled. We surrendered our power when we voted for Union busters.

Nowadays Socialism is only for the rich and powerful - they look after and do favours for one another, this is something we've not been privy to until the age of the internet, we simply weren't aware of it before. There were rumours, but those people were dismissed as cranks and kooks, as conspiracy theorists - you know the ones who would take shaky video footage of black cars driving to hotels in remote locations for their secret Bilderberg or WEF meetings. We know so much more now.

In the 1990s, Media Studies was mocked by people as some ridiculous joke. People don't laugh so much about it now.

The situation is this:

1. In the last decades we see a global switch towards Totalitarianism and the Death of Democracy.

2. The majority i talk with immediately think ''That guy speaks about Conspiracy Theories''

I want to ask them:

1. Since when is the switch Socialism a Conspiracy Theory?

2. Isn't Socialism a Totalitarian form of Government?

If in doubt:

1. What is China?

2. What was the Soviet Union?

3. Isn't the EU doing such a shift?

4. Don't you see it starting in the US?

The distinction between the Western World and its model between them was so obvious during the 60's all the way to the 90's

Your Grandfathers where there. Your Fathers where there. It was common knowledge.

What the difference between the current switch towards Totalitarian forms is, compared to the Western World (Especially America) as we knew it, was common knowledge.

What happened?

Did Free Journalism die?

Have they started ever since the Death of John Kennedy to make Information become lost?

Did the Wikileaks get shut down?

Oh yes.

And what happened with the People?

They became blind.

Everything that isn't mentioned by the Media is a Theory to them.

Anyone remember how during the 70s-90s there was still Free Journalism and there were alot of reports of secret Budget programms investing on the Medias to Control them? It was common knowledge. I remember it was Chaos. Corrupt Investors and others being dragged to Court for it.

What happened to all these reports?

They vanished just like Wikileaks did.

Society forgot...

Communism isn't a bad word. It was originally build upon good principles. How it was used and for what is another story.

One thing is certain.

There is no distinction between Hitler or Stalin. They were both Criminals.

As there is no distinction between National Socialism or Socialism. They both were the worst for their people. I blame the Leaders.

Democracy is failing.

Democracy needs active Citizen-Soldiers.

Democracy was build on the foundation of the Citizen-Soldier.

You could recall the one you elected for a specific task.

You were the Constitution.

See ancient Athens.

We have no Democracy.

The last time was almost 3000 years ago...

Now the Citizen - Soldier is nothing.

He lacks the Willpower to be anything.

And so what will come to pass is inevitable.

History will be repeat itself.

Humanity will recycle itself as it always did.

Nothing new from the Earth Front

Like I already explained many times, nothing prevents from having on one side:

-the same financing for all the parties

-the prohibition of any cumulation of powers

-a system that prevents the psychopaths from usurping any form of power

-an automatic suspension for any leader whose honesty is in jeopardy

-medias independent from all the other powers

-an independent justice applying equitable penalties automated on the facts

and on the other side a planner state

so no communism is not a bad word, communism is a relevant and respectable concept.

That will never work so long as humans are involved. They all start out with big ideas/ideals, but they all end up the same way. The elite have all the power, and money, and the rest are just peasants.

It will never work if people don't try to make it work.

That's the point though. MANY people have tried to make it work, and it always ends up the same way.

Humans are simply too invested in their own self-interest for it to ever work the way it was envisioned.

Many people have claimed to make it work while doing as many things for the separation of the powers than the right-wing/fascists ; that is to say none.

They all sellout in the end. It always becomes about "Me, Me, Me" because really that's all a person is meant to care about. We still have the instincts of a wandering tribal creature. We lose a sense of belonging in overly large groups. We lose a sense of purpose. Society as evolved faster than our biology. Perhaps in the coming millennia that will change, but we are now suffering through that transition.

I support libertarianism for this reason. It is the perfect system that embraces the duality of existence we humans currently find ourselves.

I doubt we make it. We are on a path that only ends in our own destruction. Can we avoid that? Not holding my breath....... Humans tend to be awfully short-sighted. It's all about what brings me the most benefit right NOW! Doesn't matter if by doing so, we condemn ourselves to a dark future.

  • 3 weeks later...

If the wealthy and powerful are so afraid of it then why are they for it? it's what they are selling right now. once you give into the idea that the betterment of the many outweighs the needs of the few then anything becomes defendable. it claims to distribute wealth when in reality the opposite is true. communism doesn't create wealth it just takes it. in the end we are all equally poor. it discourages individuality of both identity and thought. it encourages complacence and demonizes success. I suppose if humans didn't have emotions or individual identity it might work. but people will always exploit power. the idea of individual freedom, property, thought and rights is the best-known way to check that. why would people ever work or produce more than they take? the day I get compensated the same if I work or not is the day I quit working. look at markets and how fast things change. no top-down disconnected bureaucracy can change as fast as free market capitalism. how is supply determined? in one way if the supply is low the price goes up and then so does production and vice versa till balance is achieved. does this work better than someone's opinion or estimate on how much toilet paper we will need in six months? I would think so. when someone else gets to decide what is fair it rarely ends up that way. what is enough? what is fair? is there even such a thing? do u think it's a coincidence that the dark ages ended when the great experiment began? think of all that has changed in the last few years after so many of stagnation. do u believe that would happen if people were not able to benefit from their ideas and hard work? communism or socialism is not a new idea or progressive in any way. that is why people use examples from history to argue against it. taking the discussion from hypothetical to actual. if anything, freedom and self-governance is new. there has been some form of communism or socialism for millennia or at least long before recorded history. people always want more. there is never a point where they have enough of anything. people like Marx exploit this. if it is so good, why must they insist on dividing us into groups and stoke fires to make us fight? could any good come from that? Marx is not the father of socialism. he just figured out that instead of forcing people to be lemmings it would be much easier to convince them that it was a good idea (or at least fool them into thinking everyone else did). but your question was not why something is better than communism it was "why is communism a bad word" why is Nazi a bad word? it's just four letters that stand for national socialist party right? it the history that is associated with that word that makes it bad. I believe the same is true for communism. It implies that we can realize our selfish goals while claiming it's for others and be lazy, probably why it's a lie that so many have fallen for in the past and will continue to in the future. rather than implying that the bloody past of socialism is somehow an ignorant way of arguing against it. maybe we should look at it as proof of how dangerous it can be to forget. rather than trying to fix what has never worked we should unite in trying to protect and improve what does. that is what the wealthy and powerful are truly afraid of. maybe that's why they need us to burn it down. it's very easy to give away freedom and so much harder to get it back. we can always decide to become socialist it would be very hard to decide to become free.

and in the usa it might have been that way at one time. but today communist stand proud and claim their superiority and distain for America and the people who love it. Marxism is infecting everything using a freedom that it would not itself allow. it has become the most divisive poison ever pumped into our society. maybe those before us knew something we should have. we can only hope people will reject the idea before its too late. before the propaganda of the minority becomes the voice of the majority.
