Texture Flickering in fallout 4

Hey, im having major issues in fallout 4 where every where I turn there is some sort of texture flickering.

Heres my load order using Loot.

This is a fallout 4 specific problem that is better addressed on the Fallout 4 technical forums.

I will say I have seen texture problems in both Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE. Fast travel often corrects this, along with dark face bug.

Purging cell buffers followed by fast travel can also help. (console pcb)

What is happening is you are running short of memory in your GPU.

The only thing that Vortex might help is stopping Vortex before you play. That frees up a lot of memory. Vortex never needs to be running to play.

I have 6gigs of vram, is that not enough?

Depends on how good the game is at managing it. And how good the driver is. Always have the latest driver; Nvidia updates - frequently.

All the techniques I mentioned help flush those GPU buffers.

 

I should add - a lot of mods up the resolution a lot - in ways Bethesda never anticipated. Those take more flushing...
