  2. I'm a Northampton expat to America, so you'll find an awful lot of u's and such where there normally wouldn't be. XD My biggest editing concern is concision. Saying the same thing with less. There is a lot of rich information here, especially in the more engaging NPCs, but I could often get away with saying less. That, and my typos get overlooked! The radios will need to be set up in a new way, so that RadioHello and tracks agree with one another. We made every dialogue and music a topic, so they're really choosing at random. But there is no scripting to prevent them from looping the same track over and over, or repeating them several times in a row after one variation. It's a quick fix with a tutorial to follow, I'm just busy with other art things. Finally, Union City needs several stages: START - Civilian NPCs are off the streets, doors are locked, guards at are at their posts along the wall. BATTLE - Civilian NPCs are off the streets or fleeing, guards are in combat, spawing new ones if lost.; ------------ Initially disabled ruins and fires are toggled on, as well as carpet bombing marks. POST BATTLE - Troopers sandbox on wall. Civilians explore and sandbox (shop owners at wait markers, sweeping floors, eating at bar, etc.) Shops and doors unlock. [DISABLE CORPSES AFTER 1 HOUR] NORMAL - Shops close at 7:00pm, bar closes at 12:00am, opens at 8:00am. Injured troopers limp at med tent, sleep on bunks, farmers walk along roads and rake the fields, and caravans come and go. -------------Disable corpses, fires. STREET COMMOTION - Annai Oran shoots her bounty in the street outside the bar. A circle forms around the body and disperses afterwards. MOB / NCR SHOWDOWN - All doors locked, civilians off the streets DESERTED - The Raider player has conquered the valley and everyone is dead of fled the town. --- Obviously, the normal package is the most complex. Feel free to make an independent quest container for troopers, civilians, shop keepers, and caravans. If all the stages of this self-contained quest are set up for that another scripter can quickly trigger the routines and packages later, that would be ideal. Let me know what you think!

We're talking YEARS; and he offered his help out out of the blue one day with no strings attached. I tried to pay him once. He told me to keep my money, and did it anyway, and at a quality that can't be beat. Do you know what it takes to make a sacrifice like that? What kind of dedication it shows? Dude has put his free time and health on the line for us since 2012. I've never met him, but I'd die for that guy. RickerHK is irreplaceable to me. I can't say the same for you. You have a right to post on these forum. I have the right to make you think twice about coming back. Don't cross my people.
  4. In response to post #24696909. I've been baking my company logo into the normals map with a 1px height difference across the whole map. Suck on that, thieves! Rebake your entire ripped model to eliminate my logo! I dare you to clone tool that s#*! out. XD
  5. In response to post #24695739. That's a pretty good point. I've been watching this mess since it first dawned on me in a chat with a Bethsoft freelancer that this was coming about a month ago. In all that time I didn't put steam machine and CW together. That's going to be a hard combination to face down. Does the Steam Machine have free internet access to download files? And can NMM (or other mod organizer apps) be coded for steam machine API with a reasonably limited amount of effort and thus budget?

  7. New Shields are up. Just need to swap the handles on the sign shields with these new leather straps. Should probably check to see if they fit the player's arm mesh first! XD I hate clipping. But if it saves time, f*#@ it.

All of this insane traffic is going to cost the Nexus thousands of dollars per day, and we're not recouping that cost. The only way for Nexus to try and get that back is if Valve extended an olive branch with a service provider option. That sounds like a reasonable attempt at removing the strain they've created on the site.

I'll wrap up work assignments and write you a quest stage primer for triggering the radio news. :) A mate back East is ripping some old 60s Garage Punk from 45s for us. I'll send you some formatted OGGs and wavs tonight, then work on updating the straps on these shields for devin.   12. If you want I can probably put them together for you, but I don't want to step on Flamenx01 or Jokernine's toes if they already have a handle on the project. I was going to be finishing up with the sign armors fairly soon and was pondering a few shields anyway, so I'm kinda in the groove. Let's wait til Jokerine drops back in to see if she's down to trade ya, since those radio quests are real important. I'd love to see those sign armours. You'd be free to borrow these shields if they fit your project. I should go back and see if I can update these to look a little nicer since we're putting so much effort into it. I'll add some decals and make the ugly straps look better. They are shaped to the character mesh, which is why i left them, but looking at them they make me mad. XD I need to get back to work my day job assignment now (more 3d art, funny enough. :p) I'll swap the objs out probably tonight with updated straps and textures. I'd be so pissed. I want Fallout 4 to run on something reliable and modern. PBR workflows, no more proprietary containers - we use OBJs now damnit, and TGA textures! Feels like so long ago, haha. :p I tried swapping out the tristripesdata the traditional way just now, and it looks fine in nifscope, but causes a crash in GECK. >_ < Days like this I'm excited for Fallout 4! (Please be on UDK4, please be on UDK4...)
  14. Correct. The nif they are based on had all the bones and weights swt, and they are simple ridged bodies. That's a good idea, but I wanted to make some unique shields for our Shi and Scadian factions. The Vault Vikings use a hubcap stapled to a wood barrel, and painted with spraypaint. :tongue: Very fallout. I think we should just attach them back to the original nif. I can do it, but it'll take a day, which I'd be better spent on the quest dialogue and static meshes that need attention.

  18. Even if it comes to Fallout New Vegas, I won't be charging for my mods. There's no point. In my eyes they shouldn't qualify. not enough of the assets are proprietary. I do advocate for a pay what you will system though, and making the donation key more obvious. Just like was mentioned by Mil in the private forums, a reminder, just like the endorsement reminder, would be nice. "Thank you for your endorsement! Did you like this mod? Consider donating by clicking here..."

XD These are tasks that need doing at some point in the next like, 3-6 months, so it's no major rush. :smile: The Radio will react to quest stages that are not quite set up yet (but we can estimate what they'll be for now,) and the NPCs at Union City also need to react to quest stages that are WIP, so we can set that one aside until RickerHK & Seddon approach those.

  21. Well, alright. They're armour pieces, so its kinda essential they be rigged to the bone and skeleton of the character mesh. The world object would be a step in the right direction! :) For the radio, you'll need access to our team dropbox. Send me a pm with your email and I'll share it with you. you'll need to make an esp based on our esm (just like you would a dlc + new vegas) and later we'll merge your esp into the esm using FNV Edit.

  23. That's awesome Jokerine! I'd be glad to have you aboard to help out. :) These shields are based on the ones we already have in GECK, so swapping out the data in nifscope would work. I'm just kinda busy making the new assets and getting dialogue squared away, so it would be a great help if you could handle the fine details of adding the signs to the right bones, and adding them to GECK. ^^ Did you want to tackle the radio too? I am formatting the new songs and getting the right permissions, so that'll take me a week or so. The new dialogue for now can use a place holder 5 second noise, until I can get Ben and Shaila into the studio to record their segments. I contacted both the artist and porter for the Behemoth. No word. I like to get a confirmation from the creator just because we are merging those assets into our BSA. :) I can probably make our own retex. I just don't want to. XD
  24. Fallout: Project Brazil has kicked off another really big push to get the mod finished, and we've spearheaded a lot of the biggest quests on our list since February. We're now on course for a release this year. We have a lot of cool stuff, and everyone on my team (3 coders, 2 artists, me) is busy. :tongue: you can see why we're busy. XDD There are a few small but important jobs for Project Brazil that I could use another partner or two to help take up the slack: 1. Raider Face Paints - Our raiders come from 6 different tribes, each with unique face paints to set them apart, and all should have a Warlord that is unique. We have a few already. Still missing face paint for The Vipers, the Shi Rebels, and Vault Vikings. -- Blee 2. Radio Station Anti-Repeat - Our radio has a bad habit of repeating the same song or talk segment over and over. We need a quick fix script that can play once per day, or only once ever in case of news. I've also wrote some new news segments we'll voice soon, and 5 more royalty-free 50s tracks to both stations. (Taken by Jokerine) (Done by NoNoodles) 3. Enclave Colossus Power Armour - Someone at some point donated and gave permission to use their colossus power armour. For the life of me I can find it. :tongue: I need a Unique Power Armour for a female and male Enclave officer (preferable west coast style) and a Unique Brotherhood of Steel armour for the player. (Found, thanks to flamenx01) 4. Sign Shield Mesh Rigging - We have these awesome sign shields, but they use those gnarly 512 textures, and the meshes need help. So I remodelled them, made a 2048 texture sheet, uved the models. They need rigging and implementation in game. I also made some extra shields and melee weapons that need rigging, and I've updated some of our armours that now need a hand rigging & importing to GECK. (WIP by devinpatterson) (WIP by Dragbody) 5. Grammar & Spelling Check - Really easy job, just going through with a fine look at the GECK and fixing dialogue that could be shorter, and spotting things spell check didn't see. MUST BE DONE IN GECK. (Taken by NoNoodles) 6. Unique Behemoth & Super Mutant - There is a most excellent retexture for a super mutant here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37139/? But the author never responded to a request for permission. So I'll either have to do it, or ask one of the guys on my team who are already busy. Unless you guys have a few you're willing to donate? (Done by Macintroll) 7. Adding NPCs and their routine packages to Union City and Xiabula. (delete temporary NPCs, replace with NCR citizens going about their daily lives, NCR MPs, troopers on patrol, bar patrons, etc.) It's a real big job if you want to get really specific with your storytelling through those NPC routines, but it's also really fun. :smile: (taken by NoNoodles) 8. Tribal weapons and Shi weapons meshes and textures. These are modelled, and I'm making a new one just about every week. -BLee 9. We need some assistance cluttering and uniquely decorating the ~30 houses in The San Bernardino valley. This isn't a hard job at all. Everyone who has promised to do this so far has bailed on us, so it might just come down to me taking my time to do it away from my other responsibilities! >_ < If you're down to do a Project Brazil Wasteland Interiors Project, let me know. It's really, really not hard. Just rotating and moving objects so that they're in interesting arrangements, tossing trash on the floor, hiding items, writing notes, grocery lists - whatever. New lorefriendly novelty items would be nice too. If you know any modder resources I can get permission to merge with our ESM & BSA, let me know.
