  1. Probably. I'll read a few tutorials this weekend and figure it out. As long as I don't get called for emergency work, I should be able to spend time on you tube learning what must be learned. I'll check into those free-use world spaces though, and contact the authors.
  2. http://www.ravenmodding.terminal47.net/ There are some worldspaces on GTS that I would love, love, love to borrow and expand upon - the only problem is that I CAN build the cityspace, mountains and details very well, but I have no idea how to make the dunes or expand the boundaries. I love the Fallout mod Community, I just have no idea how to ask for things I need done, haha. Collaboration with the online community is what I want Brazil to be about. Right now, I'm coated in fibregalss and just got off a film set (it's 5:30am) - I need to take a looong vacation, haha. I finished a zone for Brazil yesterday that I'd been dying to create and hit a new creative spark! Now I just need to port the Vault 88 resources, build the sand dunes/Los Angles highway worldspace (which is what this request is for) and build the underground worldspace. After that, voicing can commence, along with dialogue and NPC scripts and quests. It's just a matter of actually formulating an online team. I have enough dedicated resources in Brazil now to lend credence to my request topics - I'm just too polite to drop by IMing people to ask for this stuff.

There was a mod on the Nexus a while ago that had a similar layout, but it has since disappeared off the advanced search. I'm not asking fer a serious dedication of time, nor a complete mod. All I ask is for someone to generate using terra-gen a world space roughly the size of The Pit addon Space, or possibly Anchorage depending upon your level of processing power. 80% of the worldspace need not be navigable, save for a thin highway snaking through the desert to the sea, a canyon in the far north where an enclave base will be located (I can make that) and at the very far WEST side of the map in the SOUTH corner, a semi flat-land where I can build a small city worldspace. Also, along the entire WEST side, I would like a gradual slope below water level, with a coast line resembling the Los Angles/Santa Monica/Venice Beach/Marina Del Rey coastal curve. I do not need buildings, NPCs, or new models/textures. I have a stack of original sand dune textures my girl and I have been taking, and I just need a tutorial to follow on how to apply them. The involvement I ask is only a few hours, or possibly a couple days of crafting. If you have the time and desire, it would seriously save my time! Pictures are priceless right now, especially of the botanical gardens! Video would be good just to get an idea of how things look to the player, versus my biased designer mind. I cant remember where I left off... I know I had just finished the desert area of the Gardens, and navmeshed it when the drive went down. That place was beautiful. I had also finished the forest/jungle (it was very relaxing to listen to the water fall, and bask in the light between the night and day areas,) and begun setting up NPC pathways in the main shaft... I was just figuring out how to tell them when to eat at the diner, go to work, and go back to the apartments... oh, I miss those little problems. --- I need a few people to download Project Brazil and run around giving me a view of my work for me! I haven't had a chance to work on this since January due to multiple hard disk failures, and the loss of my Tablet PC. I lost a TON of hard work. 5 years of writing, photos, old movies... Stuff one just cant get back. However! I backed up Project Brazil here on the Nexus, just two weeks before my system crashed and took everything to hell. I wasn't exactly working very hard after the new year, I was pretty occupied with life... and kindof drunk. Anyway, now that I care about life again, I'm dying to see it and go back to my hobby! This project was my Zen! It was very stress relieving. I still have voice actors on call for when I get things up and running. I told them 6 months to 9 months... 2 months ago. I have open invite to great sound equipment as well. I hope, after a quick re-write, to get back on track in that area. I'll have a new hard drive in late April. This ins't such a bad schedule, right? I cant actually play the game, nor work on it. I have to rewrite the script - everything. Though, if you can bring me fresh, HD images, I'd get my eyes back and have fresh inspiration! I may even write you a character into the plot, or name something after you. I'd love to see widescreen shots with full graphics, if at all possible, but mostly just shots of glitches, and whatever catches your eye as fun to look at. This is the most plausible request on this forum. It's easy to make this dream come true. Any takers?

  7. Nah, the whole mod is set in a gigantic Vault and underground city ruined by earthquakes. "Brazil" is a fictional island from Irish myth. It is only visible one day every seven years, and even then can never be reached. That's the concept behind the vault as well, or at least how it got its name. That, and from pictures of old Brazil, Rio life. It was an ideal of green, happy, flamboyant prosperity they wanted to achieve, and thus the name Brazil stuck.
  8. Dude, just open geck, load Fallout.esm, create a plug-in, and delete all entries related to levelled lists and spawn points. It will take forever, but you can do it.
  9. I need someone to go through the Fallout 3 Mesh directory and made the dungeon pieces more modular. As in, separate the walls from the ceilings and floors, separate the door frames from the windows, ect. You have no idea how much help it would be to take the Bridge piece from VGalleyRailingBridge01, and attack it to VRmMid01. Collision boxes, nifscope, Blender, etc... I made a box three weeks ago and despite the angles not quite connecting, called it progress. I'm that green. The GECK is great fun. Very Zen, and I'm wrapped up in it, too busy learning those systems and voicing it. What I urgently need are the wall, floor and ceiling pieces separated from the most generic VHallSm sets, and from VGalley sets I need the Windows and bridge pieces separated. Is anyone up to the task? You'll get full credit, and I may even mail you a bottle of Sriracha and home brew mead! It's actually illegal to give someone legal advice without owning legal certification under a national premise, and even then, unless you are paid to distribute advice under the banner of a firm. That's UK and US. Most of the West, actually. Not sure what the punishment is. The point is law = finance. Any time finance and lawyers get in the same room, humanity pays a price. I expect copyrights will be abandoned by 2100, and seen as archaic materialists holding onto their pre-digital notions of ownership and rights, back before the internet became sentient and swept away all conception of free will. hat's just my projection.   11. How could you look for something without knowing what it is? It's a very Tao concept. There's an entire school of though based on this method of learning. Not only is there is page, but the GECK has a keymap under the EDIT menu. After searching the wiki and not finding that, I just smacked my forehead. Damn HTML tags. Lock Topic.

  13. I exported my NIF as Fallout 3 compatible with the latest version, so that's out. I'll try opening the vanilla mesh and move things around. I'm fairly sure my materials and BSX flags are both botched. I'll have at it again. At least my turrets, doors and landing gears work in the animation cycle, and when imported into GECK, would work if the mesh did.
  14. My progress has reached the apex of my expertise. As of 03:24 7 September 2009, I admit defeat in the realm of 3d modelling. Alas, poor soul of inspiration. I made a sweet little model of a ship with a ton of help from m mates, all in GMax, and through the powers of google, made it into a .nif! Who hoo! Then I got that imported into blender to finish it off, fixed it up, added a texture, and then tried importing it into the GECK... and, fail. The mesh seeming does not exist. I'll admit, I have no idea the scale of the model I made. It's either tiny or friggen huge, or it could be microscopic in the GECK, accounting for its non-existence. I have no idea. My towel is thrown. Anyone else want it?

  16. Right, all the better for validity. So, it is possible, basically. Good to know. But do you know exactly where it is I can find the .nif files for the Vertibird, and the scripts associated with it? I'm about to tear open that mod I linked, because it knows far more than I do, and points to all the right buttons. Save, I'm sure, the .nif.
  17. I'm trying to make a frigging HUGE mod. I'm unemployed and a SAG Actor, so my time isn't "limitless," but damn near it. So, I've picked up GECK! I want to create a new .nif for the Vertibird. I will keep all the animations, most of the scripts, and most likely jack almost this entire mod's idea: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4272. I don't want to replace the Vanillas, I want to add a new one. Say... The Ebon Hawk's big sister? I want to know if it's possible before before hand, because if I have to create an entire entity all of its own, I'll, well, never finish. So, what is the verdict?
  18. I have all that equipment and it's all up to date, I just had no idea that was an option. I've never had an issue with corruption before. If these were corrupt, they would simply be broken, but it's every load on every save, no matter what from in game. I narrowed it down to one of Fook2's DLC esm.esp packages. I loaded a clean save and it hasnt been an issue since. Here's to hope. Cheers.
  19. I hang or lock up on every quick load. If I die, it never even makes to to the loading screen. If I quick load in game, it "tries" to load the save, only to perpetually flip through slides. Last Monday night, I left the game running until I got back from drinking, and after waking up somewhere odd and walking back across the city, it was still trying to load the same save Tuesday afternoon. Bethesda forums just called me a pirate and mocked my misfortune. For the record, I'm only a pirate on holidays beginning on 31 October, or Christmas. I just made a fresh reinstall, updated 1.7 and all DLC, added these mods, and it seemed to work fine with my old saves. I don't know why it's acting up suddenly. I'm trying a new game now. If anyone responds, I'll tell you how that went. ((Also, probably unrelated, it CTD after trying to load the main menu from in game.)) Okay, okay, here is a small refinement of the problem = It's Lucas Simms. the ENTIRE game runs fine, everything, except whenever the camera looks at him from a distance, the Fallout shell flickers between the game and your desktop every other second, with random/corrupted graphics distorting the screen. It makes no sense, but it is simms. I used the console to jump to crater side supply, "movetoqt." Walk out, everything is fine. If you wait, eventually simms walks through the town, totally invisible, and by some accident you look at him on your screen, and the crash starts. If you dont look at him, you're fine. You cant enter megaton gates only because he's standing there. 1.7 does nothing.
  21. Yeah, I just started a new character, now mine is crashing trying to enter megaton too. This is after running flawlessly on all my other saves. 1.6 on fresh install, and Broken Steel. Broken was a bad choice of words Bethesda. More like Broken Content.

It started with the Power armour standing between two flags, and opened on the classic vault dweller and dogmeat art. It's been a few months, but dose anyone remember where it was? Cheers.
  23. Is it possible to add another layer to that script, making it so that there is a model of the holster with the gun in it, so that if you swtich to another weapon/class, your first weapon stays behind?
