  1. Making a mod for that would require the relevant vanilla voice lines from NPCs at least, and I doubt there's any that exists. Anyway in terms of realism, it does make sense most people don't seem to care you saved the world from Alduin. Remember, not everyone even knows you're the Dragonborn. In fact, only a handfew of NPCs (mainly those involved in the main questline) are aware of it. And yeah, I know there has to be people who have witnessed the player absorbing dragon souls so perhaps some should know. Well, just accept the flaws I guess
  2. No weather mods. Actually I only started getting this problem after installing in CoT but that's also when I changed my timescale. I've since uninstalled the mod but still the rain issue persists. I notice the weather is actually based on a chance factor as well. Sometimes while raining, you go indoors, emerge outside and the rain just stops. Other times the rain occurs more than once in a single day, like just after the previous rain stops, a hour or so later, it starts raining all over again. But more often than not, the average duration of rain I get is for the entire day, extending to 2 days if unlucky enough.
  3. I play with a timescale of 10 and one downside I noticed from this is how the weather cycle lasts a lot longer. Rain can last for several days and blizzards even longer. It's nice to have a variety in weather but it's getitng intolerable when the bad weather goes for this long duration. So is there any fix for this? A mod that shortens the rain/snowstorm duration or something? Or maybe just reduce the chances and frequency of rain and blizzards occurring I guess it can't be that hard to make. I'd do it in the CK myself if I knew how...
  4. Do you have a link for the Tropical version as well? I was intending to get the mod all this while and now it's gone :(
  5. No proper way that I know of. You could try the RaceMenu plugin, Face Mimic. Equip the spell, shoot it at an NPC and your character will get the NPC's face. After that use the spf command to export the NPC file to your directory. You will have to make a mod out of it after that: open up CK and import the file as one of the presets to use. But there's no guarantee on this. The Face Mimic spell doesn't always copy the NPC's face correctly. Sometimes half of the facial features are wrongly transferred. Even worse, when you import the file over to CK, some more of the changes might not carry over
  6. I know of the spf command method and import file function in CK, that's what I've been using. But the problem is, the face still never turns out exactly as intended when I test the NPC in-game. Things such as slightly crooked nose or lips not being the right color are some of the inaccuracies I get. I use the RaceMenu plugin by expired to design my player character's appearance fully and I guess that's the issue; some of the facial features used in RaceMenu doesn't carry over into CK or something. So is there another, better way of exporting/importing player faces anyone knows of? Or is there something I'm missing here? I read turning a mod into a ESM might give better results in CK.
  7. I don't recommend any texture mods if you're struggling for performance. They'll kill your FPS more than you would expect from an average ENB. Content mods do also impact performance but not so significantly, and depending on what the mod does.
  8. In response to post #18358284. Oh man, you're so right on this. I usually do my downloads manually but I guess I'll have to switch over. With NMM (outdated vers), I'm finally getting around 100kb/s in DL speed. Not the best of course, but way better than the 1-10kb/s I was having before. The speed would probably be much higher if NMM allowed me to choose which server I wanted.
  9. it's a rather common problem right now. I, too, have abit of the same issue
  10. This? nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56916
  11. 1. Yes, the value will revert back to default. The mod is just a ESP file, any effects it brings only happens when the ESP file is active 2. Any console command you input should stay permanently for your current savegame. That is, for the savegame you saved after the input. Say, if you type in the command, don't save but reload the game. The console command wouldn't be present then. 3. No, the mod only affects your current savegame you have the mod installed on. New games and previous savegames without the mod are not affected. The same thing applies for all other mods as well. 4. Not that I know of. There's some console commands that do link you information about each relevant commands but not all. Now I've not actually used that mod of yours, but what I state is based mostly on my knowledge on how mods work in general.
  12. In response to post #18245979. #18254264, #18258769, #18266249, #18273759, #18293354, #18318239, #18325954, #18344559 are all replies on the same post. hm, I don't know but the situation seems to be improving for me, but still it's pretty bad. At certain times of the day, the speed does go up slightly. It usually starts off from 200-300 kb/s then immediately starts dropping all the way down below 100kb/s.
  13. Sadly, no. I use a male character as well, so it's quite disappointing. But Pinup Poser still does have its benefits. It has one category for male poses (though most aren't that much for males). And you can use this for more of the poses: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50998/. It adds extra male poses and action poses. Best there is.
  14. Seems like Master files can't be edited directly. Instead a new plugin has to be made for the new edits. So is there a way to bypass this? I'm thinking ESPifying the master file would do the trick.
  15. Pinup poser is the only and best there is. It might be confusing but it's really fairly easy to use. Mod adds a bunch of rings to your inventory. The "Select" rings let you select the animation you want. The "Play" rings plays the animations you selected. As for the magic ones, they're meant for NPCs. You still select the animation you want from the "Select" rings, then use the relevant spell and cast it on a NPC. You can use this reference http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54504/ to keep tabs on which animations is which. It's quite messy, but there's a lot of poses added by the mod.
  16. @bben46 I've already tried your suggestion and it made no difference. vdegas was right about that. To note, you said only one person has claimed the fix solved the problem for him, that doesn't make it all that reliable. Anyway the problem the user was specifically facing was a different case. Seems like it's two separate issues, one where people just cant download/connect at all, and the other issue where people are simply getting very slow download speeds. I'm facing the latter, just slow DL speeds, very very slow DL speeds. Usually averages at about 15kb/s to as low as a few hundred bytes per second. I'm not in position to ask for anything, but it would be nice if something can be done for this. The crash experienced the last time was presumably because of the Steam sales, a temporary setback. But I don't see how this should be a concerning issue in the long run. Can't you perhaps switch back to the old downloading servers as of now? Or to be fair, give users more options to choose where to download from? At the current speed I'm getting (1-10kb/s), it's just impossible to download any mods here bigger than around 50MB in size, let alone anything else.
  17. Hope something will be done about this. Speed is getting unbearable for me. I'm barely reaching 20kb/s ever since this switchover. I'm not expert on this but I guess it has to do with location here. Depending on the region, the DL speed is either gonna be high or low. It wasn't like this before, when there were many different link mirrors to choose from
  18. I'm using Windstad Manor as my house but I don't like how its location is made. So near to Solitude, yet so far. Feels pretty silly to me, the house is separated just a body of water away from the city yet the only proper route there is by the load winding road passing through Morthal and Dragonbridge. So is there any mod that fixes this? By simply adding a boat near Windstad Manor and the Solitude Docks. A sensible and realistic approach in giving you the means to travel to and fro to Solitude.
  19. I still have the ENB with me. Not sure if uploading would be allowed here however
  20. Custom body types shouldn't be conflicting with armors, let alone CTDs. It could be just a buggy save on your end. Try a simple computer restart. That usually solves my save load CTDs for some odd reason
  21. Yeah, still getting the 20kb/s DL speed with the test file
  22. Am I the only one experiencing this? DL speed for Nexus files here have slowed down tremendously for me this past week. From 200-300kb/s, now I'm just averaging around 20kb/s. I know there's been some CDN switchover, but will this really sort itself out? I can browse the site and everything just fine, it's only the DL speed that's really plummeted
  23. It's normal not to see any werewolves. Encountering werewolves in the wilds is extremely rare, if not, impossible, without the use of mods.
  24. Yes, I'm already using all those. None helps. This is so frustrating. Everytime I exit the game to do something else, I need to do a full computer restart just to load the game again.
