  1. I figure that a Warden/Warden child carries the taint like its parents, but due to its weak state it won't make it alive and is born dead. That is based on the fact that not even all adults survive the Joining.
  2. While I definitely prefer traveling alone with Alistair over Warden/Alistair/Daveth or Warden/Daveth adventures, he did seem like a good guy although he would have needed the Mandatory Shady Past Tragedies and Trauma all the other companions have. A random pickpocket wouldn't make much of a long term companion.
  3. Now that's a bit far fetched comparison. For one, Fallout 3 doesn't crash if you got the game setups right and a powerful enough computer. I for one have had no crashes with the game for months. However I don't recall a single instance of DA:O crashing, so I would say it's a safe game.
  4. I've been using that mod too (several times, unfortunately. I just can't make the perfect face!) but never had such problems.
  5. I like all the companions of Origins, although maybe Alistair the most. (And for that matter, Anders in Awakening is my second favorite Dragon Age companion)
  6. When Bethesda made a dramatic improvement in Fallout villains by hinting that we might join the Enclave and then even showing in a few places that they are not as evil as they seem to be, but then they just smashed the whole organization in a single quest. I could barely complete Take It Back! because I couldn't see past my incredible facepalm. No matter how awesome and well made, that quest was FAIL
  7. Like: Colonel Autumn, who I see as a misunderstood hero. He is firm in his belief that the United States exists just as it did before the war, and that it's just having a hard time and the Enclave is here to help. He does, however, see anyone who opposes the Enclave as a traitor to the US government, and is ready to do anything to get his way. However, he does not share the Enclave's view of exterminating everyone because ruling a body heap brings nothing, and as just said, he considers the locals US citizens. Amata, I have high respect to those who are willing to sacrifice personal precious things in the name of common good. Amata has a sense of duty, but is not a tyrant like her father. However, I would believe Amata would be too benevolent in ruling Vault 101, but she sure was the best candidate. Elder Lyons. What at first seemed like a poorly written Knight in Shining Armor, he turned out to be a tragic badass-turned-soft character who is controlling a fragile faction in middle of a civil war. In the end he even reveals he doesn't believe in Brotherhood victory and even if they defeat the Enclave, he remains rather pessimistic about future. Dislike: Tenpenny. Sure, he has brought shelter to dozens(?) of people, but at the same time he has already probably killed more in his "safari", and he also wants to conduct mass murder in the name of appearance. Roy Phillips. While I respect his devotion to Ghoul rights, his methods are not good. Blind violence never helps a minority survive. Usually, it just causes more oppression. Liberty Prime, because it is just a stupid plot device to justify Brotherhood victory.
  8. I am currently working on my mod Enclave Improvement Project where I am rewriting the phase of joining the Enclave, which takes place in MQ09 and MQ11. Unfortunately, I have only three saves. Two have completed the game and have joined the Enclave by completing the mod's quests. The third one has only an hour played, and it's going to take long with all the mods I have (FWE, MMM) slowing down, to reach Raven Rock. Thus I'd like a save game that is right before meeting President Eden. If anyone can supply this save, I'd be very grateful. Mods don't matter, although FWE and MMM are recommended to avoid problems. But nevertheless I'm not going to use the save a lot (just to test one thing) so possible conflicts and bugs should be no problem.
  9. Simple mesh requirement: remove the helmet, feathers and the piece of clothing over face. Even better if you can separate them into their own entity, thus making a Miss Fortune headwear piece. Thank you.
  10. Looks good, although I'd appreciate a normal map, too. As you probably know, without an appropriate _n the khan logo still reflects in light.
  11. I'd appreciate if someone retextured Great Khan Soldier Armor to be without the Khan logos. Only textures needed.
  12. Just press ESC when the cutscene starts and pretend your character couldn't watch :D I know I can't.
  13. For Morrigan http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1902 Also, Lady of the Forest would also be greatly revealing (even more so than Desire Demon). Ridiculously so, if I may add. I got nothing against nudity in games, but sometimes I just fail to see the point.
  14. Morrigan and Flemeth do nothing but plot against you through the entire game. They both are just using you to gain their own selfish goals. That is, both were in the game just for the demon child. After that, you are of no use to them. Of course, Morrigan gets a bit.. "defrosted" if you romance her but her behavior is still so selfish I don't really count it as love or care.
  15. All the Darkspawn in the Deep Roads, and especially the spiders. Just pointless massacre of low end critters with annoying talents to prolong the battle (web, overwhelm, paralyze..) annoy me so. Fighting Kolgrim at the first encounter with him. Nowadays, though, I wait to betray him. And pretty much any battle involving two or more enemy mages backed by warriors/rogues to block my way.
  16. Quests I liked: - Nature of the Beast: Besides having one of my favorite soundtrack pieces in the dungeon section, I really liked the overall story and the conclusion (and multiple endings) of it. I normally play as an elf, which added a nice extra tension after learning the truth about Zathrian. Bonus points for the Arcane Warrior encounter. - The Final Onslaught(?): The rooftop episode, fighting Big Archie. Bonus points for best battle music in the game. - City Elf Origin: My favorite origin. For me it fits the Grey Warden aspect best - a dweller of an oppressed, poor and closed society suddenly thrown in the wide open world to primarily save a race the character (at least mine) have sworn to oppose - bonus points for having to cooperate with such individuals as number one condition of survival (Alistair, Morrigan, Duncan...) - Encountering shriek-Tamlen. It was the only moment in the game I was truly shocked. Quests that I liked to a degree: - A Paragon of her Kind: Many options and a lot of adventure. The negative part of it was the incredible amount of cannon fodder critters to slay to achieve simple goals. - Broken Circle: I always found it too easy, and the Fade episode got tiring after two playthroughs (thank goodness for that mod), but again the conclusion was utterly epic - Dark Ritual: I was glad to have a way out, but IMO the Warden should be able to immediately get rid of Morrigan. Something like stabbing her in the face right after Archie goes down, or throw her down from Fort Drakon. You know, "you have outlived our usefulness". Witch Hunt gave some relief to this although I'm skeptical whether you can actually kill her in it. Quests I dislike: - Saving Redcliffe: Just boring slaughter of low-end critters. Along with any "Go place A, kill bad guys X, get +1 spell resistance pendant." quests
  17. Okay, I'm a DEF who romanced Alistair. I hardened him and our relationship prior to Landsmeet was +100 (Love). Now Ali is King (Anora has been jailed). He confronted me with the usual "soz gal im king now LOL" speech. I wanted to preserve the relationship and eventually managed to find the (Persuade) option, which apparently was successful. Alistair says we can move on like before and asks if I can forgive him. I answer, "Maybe. But you'll have to earn it". Judging by his response, Alistair took this as a "yes". However, I got a -10 disapproval (probably because of my last answer, I can live with it), but I noticed that the relationship had turned into +90 (Friendly). What's the matter? Also, How long I have to be in relationship with him for him to mention it in Awakening (bought it yesterday)? Now as it seems Alistair dumped me after all, will he remember? And if I, hypothetically, started a quick new romance with Zevran or Leliana? Of course, I would have no problem with re-instating our romance, but the problem is that it's not possible.
  18. Damn. I knew it. Sounded too simple not to have been already made. Cheers.
  19. I don't know if it's worse to have Loghain do Morrigan's rite, or Alistair who hates her more than anything else. Alistair's reaction is priceless when you tell that the ritual will produce a god-child. First time I heard Alistair really lose his temper.
  20. A very simple mod request - allow an Elven Mage start as Dalish. What do you think? I'd do this myself but can't get the toolset working - been trying for weeks :D
  21. Ok, as I said, this is to get the "Happy Ending" that D. Gaider, et al, specifically wrote the game to deny you...: Oh ho hoo, that's sneaky  I'll keep that in mind, if I one day get enough moral troubles to replay the ending for my main character.
  22. @Lawlder; See the bottom of Post #13, above. You CAN have your cake, and eat it too. (Oh, wait. "The cake is a Lie!" ) My interest has been awakened. Do tell me more of this "cheat".
  23. I know, and I have considered replaying the ending to have my character strike the final blow. But then again, I want to move my character to Awakening once I get it in a week or two.
  24. They both have a very strict sense of morals, or amorals as in Morrigan's case. Both can't be pleased unless you do things as they want, and both have tactical advantages on the battlefield. It's really up to your personal taste which one you pick.
