  1. haaahhaaaa. Once you pull out godwins, I'm done. Also I don't consider Ulfric as an unbiased source on Ulfric. That's just silly. What I envisioned is based on what he did at Markarth and other evidence, not his self aggrandizing bit of rhetoric. BTW, Ultra Nationalism often carries a hefty load of racism, ethno-centrism, and xenophobia along with it. I laughed at bit at your use of "True Nords". By whose definition, eh? Ulfrics? lol. Yeah, I guess you could shrug off him killing Nord as "they aren't True Nords" I am no "True Nord" . A "True Nord", Jarl Balgruuf the Greater, had this to say about the man " Do you think Ulfric really cares about Skyrim's independence, or the welfare of its people? I promise you, he doesn't. He's nothing more than a barbarian renegade, whose lust for power has cost the lives of countless innocents." I chose to listen to the honorable man. "Skips merrily out of the Palace of the Kings, swinging Ulfrics head like an ugly flower Basket"

  3. Gotta love the Stormcloak apologists. Nah, they are just a civic improvement club. Nords wiped out one entire Mer culture and have a general antipathy to Elves, who they have been at war with for generations in one form or another. Ultra-Nationalistic Nords pounding a religious and race hate drum to further antagonism towards the elves, and by proxy those they consider to be Elf puppets, The Empire. Ulfric proved how "tolerant" he was at Markarth as well. There is plenty of evidence in game. "Skyrim is For the Nords" is hardly a rally cry for "inclusiveness". "Skyrim is for the Stormcloak" would be a more honest statement, as many Nord would not be welcomed in Ulfrics regime. They take it far enough ingame to happily murder a Talos-worshipping Nord High King and wage war against fellow Nords who don't live up to their chosen agenda. By proving that they have no tolerance even for Nords who don't fall into line, how will Ulfrics regime treat those other races who aren't Nord at all? A skyrim wide Markarth "purification"? Alvor hung from the rafters of his blacksmith shop for "collaborating"? Battle-Born heads on pikes decorating Whiterun after they were stripped of all possessions? Rifton "cleansed"? The eventual bloodbath of retribution in Solitude would be horrific. You can't put on enough spin to change what the Stormcloaks are. Their very name reflects a personality cult devotion to the ambition and arrogance of one Ulfric Stormcloak. His actions and dialog ingame are more about enhancing and inflating his own Reputation and Ego than anything else. He's as unstable as Potema with far, far less talent. Even the Thalmor apparently decided he was stupid enough to further their goal of destabilizing the Empire and didn't take him out when they could. They were more concerned about a few Blades remnants than they were about Ulfric. The Thalmor are worse because they are larger, more organized, and aren't led by a Cretin. Neither faction has a moral superiority. Both are reactionary, xenophobic, fanatical ideologies...the main difference being that the 3rd Era Thalmor actually managed to take control and build an Empire before going on their crusade. I know... but but but none of that happens if Ulfric wins. Yet.. is my only response. He'll never win in my games, so it matters not. The game presents me with more than enough evidence to prevent that from ever happening.
  4. Arissa. She does like to steal, but is way more straight laced than most followers I've used. Nothing remotely scandalous in her dialog. If you don't disable the regard system you will find out she doesn't tolerate murder much. She likes a persuade and hates an intimidation. Practice cannibalism and she's done with you for good. She's more of a light Archer/onehander though. She's voiced by one of the best. Older mod called Cassandra Far to Star is even more picky, but she is "Righteous" more than wholesome. Join the Thieves or DB or become a Vampire and she's gone..wont even speak to you. She's a Crusader/Tank and the voice acting and dialog is very much "Holy Crusader". Cassandra's mod page is somewhat confusing, but my DL (version 1.02) has been stable and works with convenient horses.
  5. Odd. I've had meshes that mask items, for example, in my game the default Dawnguard Vamp armor will hide any neck item, but I can't imagine why a weapon would mask part of the armor mesh.
  6. Coming soon! :D Would be a fitting end for Ulfric.
  7. I'd probably be happier if I could use it on a follower or some annoying npc.
  8. I'm not going to wade through 98 pages of necro, but just mention that mfgconsole + Jaxonz positioner is way easier.
  9. Do you not want help? Because this is how you don't get help. It's from the mod linked, and if you check the player submitted images you will see a slimmed down version and a pauldron-free light version, as in the video. We have the ability to make minor mesh tweaks on our personal saves as well, that does not change the source mod. You have your answer. Edit to add image of the light cuirass taken today in my game.
  10. Not exact, and part of an armor mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10251/?tab=3&selected_game=110&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D10251%26user%3D1%26gid%3D110&pUp=1
  11. I'm partial to the daggers in this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44179/?tab=3&selected_game=110&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D44179%26user%3D1%26gid%3D110&pUp=1 particularly the Eastern Tanto and Ancient Nord.
  12. The whole mod doesn't contain a single 4k texture file! In fact even the high resolution option mostly has 1k files with just a few 2k textures. And even if the whole mod would come in 4k it wouldn't be "really a load" unless you play on a C64. Maybe next time you wanna check the mods you are trying to blame here for an unstable Skyrim. And btw it would be the first time I ever heard that EBT would be the cause for an unstable game. So on a personal note...giving wrong information is the most unhelpful response you can give. Actually I read that on the mod comments page, along with more than a few negative comments on the mod and comments on framerate loss and CTDs. At any rate the OP should read the mod page FAQ for the many tweaks and suggested fixes for a mod that "never has issues" I'll stand by my comment and suggestion.
  13. Uninstall every trace of dD Enhanced Blood and try a new game start. It is an ancient mod, and for a lot of folks one of the most troublesome because while it can be stable for some, it is a script heavy mod with high vram impact as well. 4k textures option on this mod is really a load according to comments on mod page. I don't know how big the hi rez textures are. Personal note..This is a modding forum. Telling a newer poster to "uninstall all mods" (and go away, basically) is possibly the rudest and most unhelpful response I've ever read.
  14. It is so easy to over cap any armor in this game with smithing enchants/potions. Wear what you like the look of. You could not run fast enough to try and give me Vanilla Daedric or Dragonbone. Hideous looking junk. I've replaced all of the vanilla meshes for both sets, weapons included, from my game as a matter of fact.
  15. Easy. A quest to destroy the Mage College.
  16. HDT is physics enabled and uses a different skeleton. Bounce, basically. More than just Heels. Also, I think focusing on the alternative chest slot isn't going to give you the results you think it will.
  17. Thanks for pointing out the Chronicle of Steel mod, Ralin Drakus.
  18. Beauty of a modded game. Because "reasons" and because we can  (Note that most of that isn't in My skyrim) Personally, I'd ask Bethesda why their Elven folk fell out of a tall ugly tree and landed in a fire...said fire then being beat out by a helpful crowd with ugly sticks? Possibly age. I'd long formed an opinion on Elven appearance prior to anime popularity and RA Salvatore. My wood elf....
  19. I know, but the background is kinda vague. The common factor seems to be the "Blades", however, when portrayed in Oblivion (iIrc) they're multi-racial while their weapons, armor, and architecture are Asian...mostly Japanese. Is it established that the Blades trace their roots back to Akaviri culture? I just don't remember about that. The blades trace their lineage back to the DragonGuard, part of the First Era Akiviri invasion, who swore to serve Reman after their defeat at Pale Pass. They served the Dragonborn Emperors as bodyguards, and when that line ended then became The Blades with a different mission. There were some Tsaesci in the Dragon Guard, but they seemed to eventually die off.
  20. Does not help that I am a compulsive editor... To my mind the potential "wild card" for TES6 would be Akivir.
  21. TBH it seems that the armor and weapons have determined an Asian appearance for the Human "Akiviri" for most I've seen. I've read theories that claim the Akiviri assimilated (using the term "eaten") humans of common human ancestral stock, so I guess that they could look like any other humans and have just adopted the Akiviri cultural armors and weapons and never were a separate race, but an Akiviri subculture. Akiviri Janissaries, somewhat. I've also read that while hybrids are possible among humans and Mer, the maternal side largely determines the phenotype. Given an invading army with some finite number of Human akiviri, most likely predominately male, it seems to me that evidence of Akiviri humans being a separate race has been largely diminished by generations of dilution with no added influx of "pure" Akiviri human genetics. I look at the current Blades as wholly an Akiviri inspired subculture, with no racial component. The whole Akiviri thing is still largely unsettled to my mind.
  22. OP is the author that finally nailed a Daenerys preset.. haz skillz.
  23. Read the book in your inventory to return. That will bypass the buff book. Most of the Black Book quests are not needed to advance the main quest anyway, if I recall right. I just read them and immediately return. I only use them to access apocrypha when I absolutely have to for main quest. I hate daedra and a stupid Beholder daedra is just overkill.
  24. Lets just say you were temporarily challenged. All's well that ends well
  25. First step would be to build your body mesh in bodyslide. To start with I would choose one of the presets included that roughly matches what you are looking for. You can find the body in the top tab Outfits/body. Presets would be under that. These are drop down menus. Choose your body version, choose a preset, and use the preview to verify how the preset looks. Once you have chosen a preset you can click "build" and that will now be your ingame default body. Using the same preset you can now build any bodyslide compatible armor to match that body by using the same preset. Use the same Outfits/body tab and dropdown to find the outfits. Build the outfits you wish to use. Eventually you will want to batch build but you can try that later. The outfits you built to the same preset will now match your body. Be aware that the chest slot on an outfit determines the body. Anything not bodyslide compatible will have the default body it was made for. Often this will mean that you will get clipping and problems trying to mix armor sets between bodyslide and default. (example.. I use UNP. Default UNP leggings, panties, belts, gloves, boots will have huge problems disappearing inside of a body determined by a heftier UUNP bodyslide chestpiece) after you are comfortable with the basics, you can create a "custom" preset using the sliders and saving as a preset. Personal experience.. since I use HDT I've rarely had luck with the chest "overlay" slots, as they tend to wobble differently from the base chest slot or body. For me this has worked better on non-hdt armors. Good luck. You will find that Bodyslide is even more versatile and fun than than it appears at first glance. With practice you can tweak your basic preset choice for individual outfits, as an example my Tavern and Barmaids have a cleavage/pushup/poky chest while my heavy armors chest is flattened and non hdt if there is an option, still using my modified base UNPB preset so that clipping isn't a problem on the other pieces I may wish to use. Pardon, I do ramble on. Given my age, I'm entitled. Did I tell you about that time Arissa wore a dinner plate around her neck? Ah, well...
