You're now using Adobe Elements 9 and Magix in addition to Windows Movie maker, right? You seem to be really getting the hang of this--I've been keeping an eye on your DAO and ME videos on You Tube.
  2. Wasn't sure from your post if you were having problems with DAO Mod Manager or DAModder or both. If it's DAModder, was DAModder working before and suddenly stopped? If so, I had this problem--see the comments by Doldrik and myself under the comments section here: http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=286 I deleted the DAModder back up folder in the "My Documents" folder--this folder is not in the Bioware folder but located in My Documents as a separate folder. Once I deleted it, DAModder started working again. It might be worth a try. I also use DAO Mod Manager, but I've never had a problem with it, so if it's acting up, too, I don't have an answer for you, but I'm sure somebody else will. If you haven't already, you may want to check the DAO Mods Troubleshooting section and see if you can find an answer there.
  3. I've been using the Inn Keeper's storage in Vergen and it seems to be working normally. And when I check the storage chest in Geralt's room, the same items in the Inn Keeper's storage show up in the chest.
  4. I just finished playing TW1 in order to play TW2, and there are things I already can't recall doing :pinch: (which is why I had to reload a save game to figure out where/when the steel witcher's sword showed up). So after a year, I'm not surprised you don't recall how your sword got into the Inn Keeper's storage. But at least you found it!
  5. I've had this happen to me four or five times during the game, and now that I'm thinking about it, it's usually happened when I've been playing a long time, so the suspect in my case is probably card heat. When I've exited out, left for a few minutes, then reloaded, it played out.
  6. Sorry, as far as I know there's no silver axes available. After you run upstairs and clear out the bad guys and grab the first two ingredients for Triss' potion, run back downstairs, talk to Lambert and he'll refer you to Vesemir. When you talk to Vesemir, he'll give you armor and the steel witcher's sword.
  7. I got curious as to when my Geralt obtained his steel witcher's sword, so I reloaded a save game while Geralt is still in Kaer Morhen, before he gets to the outskirts of Vizima. In talking to Vesamir about getting ingredients to make the potion for Triss, he gave Geralt a steel witcher's sword, which Geralt still had when he arrived at the country inn. Are you still in Kaer Morhen or beyond that point? You definitely need something better than an old rusty sword and axe, even if you can swing it with a will!
  8. Having just finished Witcher 1 for the first time, I spent the entire Chapter 1 using just the steel sword because I couldn't get enough orens up to buy a silver sword. However, you'll be given a Witcher's silver sword (and some miscellaneous items) when you leave the jail cell and go into the sewers in Chapter 2 to go kill a monster. This particular sword spins out a small mini-quest to find out where it came from and how it ended up in the guard's hands.
  9. The first time I ever played FO3, my PC was at level 1 (I think), fresh out of the Vault, only armed with the 10 mm pistol she had looted off of one of the Vault 101 security guards, and headed over to the Super Duper Mart. As she rounded the corner to head to the front doors, she came face to face with a Death Claw. It was over in seconds
  10. An oddity I've run across both in FO3 and Oblivion, is NPC's showing up in areas where they shouldn't be. Yesterday, my PC was hiking up the path to Oasis, and suddenly this guy comes barreling toward me with four supermutants on his heels, and my PC ends up in this big firefight. After it was over, I discovered the NPC was Donovan from Reilly's Rangers--what the heck? He's based in DC. It's happened to me more often with Oblivion--for instance, on the road half-way between Anvil and Skingrad, Baurus jogging down the road from the direction of Anvil and heading presumably back to the Imperial City.
  11. After not playing FO3 for a year plus something, I decided to play it again. This time I got my courage up to add more than just very basic mods, and (other than the basic plot structure), it's like a whole new game that I'm enjoying immensely. I liked FNV, too, but Fallout 3 is my favorite of the two games.
  12. What mod are you using? It sounds like you are missing textures and/or meshes in your data files.
  13. If the character gen faces and bodies are as horrible as usual, definitely the first mods going in for me will be to modify the face, hair and bodies (I'm all for skimpy female elf mods). Armor and weapon mods, of course. And possibly magic mods as well (love Midas Magic).
  14. I hope they broaden and lengthen the time and amount of critters summoned. In addition, I'd like the ability to summon multiples at a time, because on occasion I like having a small army around my PC to fight. I overcame that limitation in Oblivion by using Multiple Creature Summoning 1.0 by Sandman.
  15. And if one is already using a mod like "Skip the Fade" (which is, well, a cheat in itself), why cavail at using Thandal's mod to circumvent the DR? By the way, what is the name of the mod? I'd like to use it myself--I actually like Morrigan's witchy ways and she's most always in my party, but when I have a PC involved with (as Thandal calls him) Big Al, I wince at having to turn him over to Morrigan just to survive the archdemon.
  16. Usually, I play a Dark Elf battlemage or custom class, until mods come out to add additional races. In Oblivion, my PC was a Dark Elf until the Ren's pack came out with Mystic Elves in it, then my PC became a tatooed Mystic Elf. Depending on the situation, she either meets the enemy head on with her favorite sword (Goldbrand or one of the awesome modded weapons) and destruction and conjuration spells, or she goes stealthy using her favorite bow and arrows.
  17. I agree with Ell46 on most of these points and I'm going to add a few things. Regarding Zevran, I personally find him more entertaining than Lelianna, although I don't have anything against her. I used her as part of my party on my first two playthroughs, but now if I need an extra rogue in the party, it's Zevran. I know someone else who can't stand Lelianna because of her constant chantry/Maker cant and won't use her at all. As Ell46 said, it's a matter of taste. And as far as no one wanting to be in the military or law enforcement if they knew they could be killed--that's just so not so. I'm speaking as someone who was once married to a decorated Viet Nam vet, and again to a Navy veteran, and who has several family members currently in law enforcement. The military is a FIGHTING force--that's what the job entails and there's always a chance of being killed in action. And as far as police--well, here in the United States, it's not all that uncommon for police to get injured or killed (as in shot) in the line of duty, and there are plenty of men and women who still choose to become law enforcement despite the risk.
  18. My character will most likely be a dark elf battlemage or nightblade, although in Oblivion once Ren's Beauty Pack came out, I always played a Mystic Elf and made up my own custom class, heavy on longsword, bow, sneaking, conjuring and other assorted magics (loved Midas Magic!!!). I had an occasional detour as a red-headed Breton witch when I wanted to switch roles.
  19. Load 'em in! Give me all the olds ones and as many new ones as they can think of! The more the merrier! Even . . . (dare I say it?) . . . a FEW (not hundreds of) Cliffracers. When Mart's Monster Mod came out for Oblivion (then of course for FO3), I was thrilled by the addition of so many new and/or revamped creatures. I was like, "Ooooo, WHAT'S that???" I also liked the fact Mart's had aggression levels so that not everything rabidly attacked you on sight, and some creatures would flee. I'm hoping Skyrim will have something similar in place for their creatures.
  20. Those sound like the red imps. I run on Win 7, too, which I installed back last July. And then of course had to reinstall Oblivion and the 50 mods I use in it. I've never used installer programs--it's just me, I want to be sure that everything goes where it should be--but a lot of people do and love them. I just saw you fixed it--that's great! Have fun! P.S. This is one of my favorite mods!
  21. Did you also rename the BSA from MMM.BSA to Mart's Monster Mod.BSA? Also I'm not familiar with the creatures you original referred to. Are you referring to Ifreets (the flying fireballs?) and I'm not sure what are "Fallen Ones?"
  22. I installed this manually in Oblivion when it first came out. Did you also install the required esm and esp files?
  23. Favorite order: Alistair>Zevran>Dog (love Extra Dog Slot)>Morrigan>Oghren>Shale>Sten>Lelianna>Wynne For non-party characters: Bann Teagan (love the way he challenges Loghain), Flemeth (although I end up killing her for Morrigan), the older lady of the two priests in front of the Denerim chantry who keeps screwing up the chant with references to food-related items (although I get tired of hearing them after the initial dialog is over), and Levi.
