Iv000, tell your dad that strangers on the internet think you are right. :teehee: But in all seriousness, I think if there's a chance it could help you, given your mother's issues, you should definitely find a way to get that help even if you have to go to a relative outside the nuclear family to assist with the money situation. My only advice for choosing a shrink is: make sure they explain exactly what any medication given to you is going to do, even if it's just aspirin, so that you can make the decision. And if you don't understand, then ask again. If they won't tell you anything there's a red flag right there. Here in the states some psychiatrists just prescribe willy nilly and keep their patients in a cloud rather than do any actual counseling.
